I got bored with all those VRMMO novels that start out as VRMMO novels, then escalate into martial cage fights, alien invasions, dream dimensions, or whatever. I also don’t like how in several novels they take real-life skills into the game and the game is like: ‘Aight, you do you, bro!’. This novel will keep the real world and the game world separate. Also, to me, it seems that many VRMMO writers have never played any MMO or other video games, or heard about things like patches, pacing, and vertical or horizontal gameplay. Sự kiêu ngạo đã khiến hắn sa ngã, để rồi cuối cùng trở thành một con boss tầm trung bị nhân vật chính – "Anh hùng đích thực" – tiêu diệt. Tôi đã chuyển sinh thành kẻ bị ghét bỏ đó trong game. Nếu chăm chỉ cố gắng và sống khiêm tốn thì tôi có thể né được flag ngủm củ tỏi... nhưng như thế thì nhân vật chính và các nữ chính sẽ phải gánh chịu bất hạnh. Trên hết, tôi không thể nuốt trôi cái kết rác rưởi như thế này. Tôi sẽ đập tan nguyên tác. Mục tiêu của tôi là trở thành "Cựu anh hùng"! Tôi sẽ kết thúc cốt truyện trước khi trò chơi kịp bắt đầu!! ...Ủa? Tôi đứng hạng nhất trong bảng xếp hạng nhân vật được yêu thích ư? Kịch bản game bị thay đổi rồi? Hình như những gì tôi làm đang được chuyển thể thành manga ở thế giới thực thì phải...?!

Vì một sự cố trớ trêu, tôi, sát thủ số một thiên hạ, lại trở thành thú cưng của em gái mình trong trò chơi! Một. Con. Cáo. Cái! Kể từ đó, trong thế giới trò chơi xuất hiện thêm một hồ nương sát thủ đeo vòng cổ thú cưng. （Bộ truyện này đã hoàn thành.
