Chương 70: Placeholder post author word
Reincarnated as a Brewer (Against My Better judgement) [Book 1 Complete] · Julian Merrow · 145 chương · ~5 phút đọc · Tạo 05/07/2026
So..... This chapter is a bit of a placeholder so I can do some of the volume changes as we goto volume two. I've no idea how the volume system works so fun times. Volume two being "Reincarnated as a Distiller. This was a Terrible Idea." Of Course, a good friend is launching a writhathon book, so I couldn't resist putting in a free shout. Hehe But.... BOOK 1 IS DONE AND POSTED! or volume 1. Depends how you look at it. Is Alric done with the brewery? Pffft no. Are the guilds done with him? Also no.
Is Book 2 still featuring Alric? Yep, yep, yep. So... some stats around the book. Book one is 136 308 words. 67 chapters and 4 interludes. We peaked on RS at number 15, came into the list with 175 followers, before that Trending grabbed the book at 60 ish followers. On the third of March we had 75 followers, looks like we will drop off RS with around 1500. Then it's a long slow grind to play on the big boy lists like popular this week. As a first fiction, this was quite a journey.
I did not expect to hit RS or have over 1500 followers. Enjoying this book? Seek out the original to ensure the author gets credit. I've had some weird questions. Book 2 goes up on Monday. There are no brakes on this train. Someone asked on discord, yes book 2 is still Alric. It begins two weeks after the events of book 1. The title wont be changing on the site although volume two will have the new title, I think of it as book 2. Err... or don't. I think of it as book 2 though.
So quick poll (cause there always needs to be one) on who the favorite side characters are! Also... because it needs to be said. Please follow, favourite, review, rate, read later, swear at me in comments. It's all appreciated, I do love the engagement. I have a lot of people to thank. Zanetharus, R. B and Kleya. Your early comments when this was small was deeply meaningful to me as my first fiction. I was exceptionally lucky to have consistent commentors.
Many auths are just throwing prose into the void hoping for the best. I didn't have that. To my Patreons. We will now have ads and a professional cover at some point. So long term growth is now the goal. To my author network. There are too many to name who have workshopped scenes with me, beta read, etc To you the reader. Without you none of it would have mattered. I'm here long term, settle in. To my best mate Fraser, I miss you bro, beer doesn't taste the same when you away.
To my wife, who thinks this is a dude book but brings me coffee anyway. Thank you. Truly. See you Monday!
