Hello! So, to my great amusement and pride, Stray Cat Strut has accumulated a fair amount of fanfiction over its lifetime, and I'm pretty dang proud of it all! So I decided to make a post listing them off right here! They'll be split along two broad categories. Direct fanction, and indirect. Direct are stories that take place within the SCS canon. They're in the same world as the main story line, work along the same general rules, and share some common history with Stray Cat Strut.

It is entirely possible for these fanfiction to have bump-ins with canon characters and events. Indirect stories take broad elements of Stray Cat Strut and use them to create a new world. Sometimes it's just the system and early lore, other times it's a collection of storytelling elements from Stray Cat Strut. Havoc and the Cafeteria Queen by KennyCelican This is in fact two stories set on opposite sides of a river in the SCS 'verse. On one side, a nameless old man sitting vigil for his dying wife gets caught in an Antithesis Incursion and takes the opportunity to put decades of studying the Anarchist's Cookbook to good use. On the other side, a young woman out for a jog on a sunny day winds up defeating a Model Four in the least likely way possible.

To make things more interesting, while she has no issues developing weapons for soldiers to use, she has a strong aversion to ever using a gun or weapon. So, she has to come up with different ideas how to fight off the invading hordes of plant monsters. Foxfire by LucyKitsune Luna had her life figured out. HAD. She was going to get a PhD in Astronomy and then after some work in science and academia to get a nice postdoc retire to teach astronomy or experimental physics at her university.

And then of course aliens had to show up and fuck up everything by being hostile and requiring her to get a PhD in space warfare rather than something interesting like neutron stars, black holes or other celestial phenomena or even just something useful like orbital mechanics or spectroscopy. - A Stay Cat Strut Fanfic Tarnished Honor by TheWackyWombat What would you consider a bad day? Having your father threaten the family shrine in order to get you to cooperate? Maybe having aliens invade?

A newbie maid working for the Monteros is doing their best to live their life, one song, one step at a time. Trusted with a monumental task by their superior, they begin their descent into the deepest depths of New Houston. For one fraction of a moment, one heading up, one heading down, their paths cross and are forevermore linked together. They'll grow closer, one dead Antithesis at a time. Calamity Jane by JeffStoryFan Jane is a run-of-the-mill corporate secret agent.

She looks nice, but is able to blend in and be unnoticed. While outside Sheridan, she robbed her target while he slept. Waking to an incursion, they run to the shelter. He beats her to the shelter, and as soon as he is in, he closes it and locks her and a number of others out. What should she do? In her fight to escape the antithesis, she explosively succeeds. As a Samurai, she can't blend in, especially after she modifies her body into her favorite game character.

But her experience of working in the background remains, and so she begins on a plan to save the city without them knowing it. No matter what the antithesis try. Deep Cleaning the Deep Sea by Shadowm4ge Macy Adams is... unusual. Not in the normal neurospicy way. No, she likes something that is seen as very odd for 2056: The ocean. With most of the life in the ocean being dead and the rest being hiding Antithesis hives, it is firstly not a safe place and even more so? It has nothing of value for most people.

Macy is bent on changing that, even if she doesn't have the power to. So, when she initializes as a Samurai during one of her dives, she sets out to clean up the seas and maybe, just maybe, bring back everything that was taken from it. Of course, there's a lot of Antithesis in the ocean, so she's got a long way to go. Carpe Momentum by Hughman Plant-based aliens have been spreading over the galaxy, and now it's Earth's turn. But we aren't alone: others have resisted and continue to resist the Antithesis.

They banded together to form the Protectors. To help Earth survive, the Protectors have selected a few people, called Samurai, to both defend Earth, and to teach the world how to defend itself. The child of a military family, Marcus is a skilled marksman, and at least has a clue how to fight. Not much of one, and he's going to make mistakes, but this is what he has been training for since adolescence. If only he were as prepared for how the sudden shift of fame would affect the rest of his life.

Carpe Momentum is set in Portland, Oregon. Follow Marcus as he tackles alien invasions and the instant fandom of being a Samurai, while still juggling his needs and looking for how to save the planet. Mad Panda by Dan Parker Louis Larose is a gang enforcer for the Bear-Yakuza. A gang he created but doesn't lead because nop! He hates the name but it made the slums a better place! In the lowest 14 floors of a mega-building, life isn't great. It isn't great either in New-Montreal in general but worse there.

The megabuilding was on a lower hexplate, so he technically lived in the underground! He still made a nice little home through blood, sweat, tears and more blood. He has three kids and a husband he loves. The kids also have 'aunt' Lila to help. Things are... alright... ish. Then, a weirdly unnoticed hive under the building becomes active and samurais aren't showing up. He's alone with his enforcers to protect nearly 8000 people. Good thing he's a samurai now!

Indirect Fanfiction Magical Girl Gunslinger by (Mikasane)"Would you like to make a contract?" When eldritch horrors known as the Anathema began tearing through reality to invade Earth, aliens calling themselves the Zenith stepped in to protect humanity. Individuals were chosen and gifted with the ability to use magic and advanced technologies to combat the existential threat. Over twenty-one years later, the so-called "Magical Guardians" are still hard at work keeping the peace.

With their flashy outfits, superhuman abilities, and reality-defying spells, they are the part-time heroes and full-time idols of modern society. But none of that really matters to Mai, whose biggest problems are dealing with her family, classmates, and the ever growing dread of her imminent future. As far as Mai is concerned, mundane problems are more than enough to worry about, and the idea of magic and monsters might as well be nothing more than daydreams.

At least, they were until she finds herself in the middle of an Anathema invasion… Halcyon Nightmares (by Aest Belequa) Alice grew up idolizing Magical Girls. Now, she's one of them! When murderous machines attack Alice's graduation, she's asked to don the skirt and blazer. Now, she'll need to learn how to use her powers and work with a team of other Girls to protect her city from disaster - all while trying to get herself un-grounded! What's a cultivator doing here?

by JeffStoryFan Tian Wu is just a simple outer court disciple. He just is having a slight issue in cultivation. His divine sense distracts him with all the stress of current inter-sect conflict. So he takes a journey into the outside world to a remote temple, in search of peace and quiet. All is going well, until the conflict causing the stress comes to him. He is but a fly to the two Nascent elders fighting above.

A stray shot causes the hidden power of the temple he is in to trigger, and the next thing he knows he is no longer in a world he knows. The new world is fighting plants of all things.
