We rushed into the town. Considering we were new to Paradise, Sarah, Anna and I followed the Demons as they ran. When we finally arrived, we heard another scream." AHHH!"" LOOK OUT!" / CRACK! CRASH! / When we turned the corner, we found a horrific sight. A giant, dark-green alligator with 6 legs and 3 eyes was attacking 3 Demons. The gator was the size of a bus! It used its tail to swipe at the Demons. The tail crashed into one of the Demons. It was what looked like a young woman who was hit.

She crashed into a stone house. After seeing the gator begin to ready itself for another attack on the citizens of Paradise, I started to Buff everyone next to me with my Angel Spells with Multi-Cast." What is this!?"

"I'm Buffing you! We're all going to fight that thing! Anna! Ready a lightning bolt and fire it when I say! Sarah, launch Spells at it until you find an opening! I'll support you with Buffs and Offensive Spells! Lady! Young guy! Whatever you're good at, work with us with it!"" Got it!" The lady was confused when she felt my Spells take effect. Sarah and Anna followed my instructions as I delivered them, the other 2 adults were confused." What are you standing there for!? People are getting hurt! MOVE YOUR ASSES!

THIS IS YOUR TOWN TOO!"" W-We will!" I yelled at them and that woke them up. We began attacking the gator." Sis!" One of the Demons yelled and ran towards the girl who was smashed into the building." NO!" I yelled as I saw the gator readied itself to launch an attack at the 2 Demons still left." Reflect!" I cast Reflect on the 2 of them." GUARR!" /CRASH! /" What is this!?" The gator crashed into my Reflect hard, but the Reflecting Barrier repelled the gator back. The Demons had no idea what I did.

Regardless, Sarah, the red Demons, the one blue Demon and I reached the 2 Demons that the gator wanted to get at." You 2, what the hell did you do to piss it off!?"" Nothing! We were going about our day and it crashed through the wall over there!" The lady scolded the 2 Demons I just saved. I looked at the wall they pointed at and I see a hole the size of the gator in the wall. Seems they were just in the wrong place at the wrong time... Why is this happening?

All of the data I read about Paradise and the Rose Swamps said that gators were docile unless you stepped into their territory. Why now? Enough thinking! Everyone needs to focus and kill this thing." You 2, go help the kid with the girl! Sarah! Let's start it up!" / Thoop! Woosh! Thoop! Woosh! Thoop! Woosh! / I summon Scarlet and begin to launch Holy Bolts and Holy Arrows at the gator, Sarah began sending black wind blades at the gator. Some damage was done thankfully.

One of its arms was fried by our combined artillery as it roared in pain. I'd almost feel bad if not for the fact it rampaged in my town." HYAH!" / Clang! Clang! Clang! / The lady was attacking it with what looked like a naginata. The 2 guys were using regular long swords. All 3 were attacking the gator with everything they had. The gators that infested the Rose Swamps were ranked at S-class when I took a look over the wildlife around these lands.

However, because of their lethargy and the fact they were deeply reclusive, left them being ranked at A. Their tough hide, strong jaws with sharp teeth and strong limbs are all problems to deal with. So far, we've been able to keep it under control with all of the pressure from the Spells and slashes sent it's way, but we need to do something soon before others get involved. Support me with more wind blades!"" Roger!" Sarah gave me an affirmative and the Demons were looking for openings to retreat. I started channeling my mana. When I began training again, I took a look at my Skill List and noticed an addition to Holy Bolt in particular. First, I channeled the Spell and had it rest in my hand. Now for the first addition." Enlarge!" / Womp! / And like that, its size went from the width and size of a basketball to 10 times its normal size.

I stared at the mass of Holy Magic in my hand and gave it another command." Spin!" / Woosh! Crackle! / With that command, it began to spin like a whirlpool, it began to suck in air and make crackling sounds from the force the spin had on the mana of the original Spell. / Woosh! Thwack! /" Matthew! Now!" Sarah hit the gator with another wind blade and made it lose its balance. Good!" Spinning Holy Bolt!" I fired the bolt from my hand, it sounded like an explosion happened in front of me as the bolt released.

The Holy Bolt spun and resembled a spinning top as it made its way towards the gator. /BOOM! / It hit the gator. it sounded like a bomb exploded when it made contact with the target. The gator was missing half of its torso after the smoke from the attack cleared, but it was still moving none-the-less." Now, Anna!"" Divine Lightning!" / Crackle! Thoom! / Anna shot down green lightning on the gator. The thunderous sound of it connecting was monstrous.

Once we all could see after the bright green flash had disappeared, what remained was a charred gator corpse. I walked up to the gator to see if it was still moving. Thankfully, it didn't move an inch." My Love! Are you okay!?" Sarah approached me, with Anna not far behind." Besides my mana reserves being around 60% now, I'm fine. Are you both okay?" Both of the girls nodded to my question." Good, I'm glad you're safe." I turned to look at our reluctant allies.

"Are you 3, okay?"" Uhm... Yes..." The first to speak was the blue Demon who spoke to us when we first arrived." Good." I began to walk away from them with Sarah and Anna following my lead." Wait! Where are you going!?" The red lady bellowed at me from behind." Even if we're not injured, someone is. I plan to help them. I'm the Lord of this place and the lands surrounding it. I plan on looking after my People as best I can." With that, I started my walk to the now broken house with a giant hole in its right wall."

Sis, talk to me, please!" The one who ran after the girl was huddled over the girl who was covered in dust and unconscious. Seems he removed any debris that covered her. The girl looked to be in bad shape. There was blood pooling under her as well as dripping from her head and arms. Seems she blocked the brunt of the blow by bracing and blocking with her arms. She's breathing, but its shallow. I walked towards her, only to be stopped by the 2 I sent to the girl and what appears to be her little brother."

Who are you!?" They asked an understandable question. They were both Demons with 3 eyes and pointed ears. They had gray hair and were colored bronze and black. They eagerly waited for my reply it seemed." I'm Marquess Matthew Drake. I'm the new Lord of the Rose Swamps and by extension, Paradise. I'm also a Paladin. I can heal the girl."" What! Really!?" The two Demons seemed happy with my answer. However, they were too lost in the hope I provided them." Will you let me pass already!?"

I yelled since it was important to get to the girl. Every second was precious when it came to a condition like hers. I've had a few emergencies come into the hospitals I visited in Blackstone and the girl reminded me of them. Thankfully, after a few visits to each hospital the Staff became friendly with me since I started healing patients they deemed as having no hope. Because of their friendly attitudes, I was able to learn a thing or two from them, including how to spot emergency patients.

And I think flying through a wall and bleeding to near death, puts the girl in the emergency category in my book. And that would be the case even if I didn't have the knowledge I have now." Tears were falling from his eyes and dripping onto the floor as he spoke. I smile at him and try to speak softly. I also picked up some bedside manners from the Nurses at the hospitals as well. The kid does what I say, and I begin to cast Holy Heal. I place my hand over the girl and begin to cast the Spell.

To relax the people around me, I decide to say the Spell out loud this time to allay any fears of the Spell I'm casting." Holy Heal!" The Spell worked without a hitch. The girl soaked in my Spell with ease and her breathing began to deepen and relax." You did it!" The kid rushed over to his sister again. Everything was going fine... Pressure! PUSH! Until I felt something strange. I pushed the kid away quickly just in case." GET BACK!" Something started to happen to my mana! Oh no! It's leaking out!" SHIT!"
