"What'd ya mean, there's humies 'ere?" Gitgrabba shouted. For good measure, he rammed a fist onto the top of his desk, making the choppas and shootas and humie skulls resting on it clatter around. The ork delivering the news, a lil shit barely tall enough to reach Gitgrabba's waist, shook.
"Yeah, boss, came in with a pair of our trukks. Messed up the hanger, then disappeared off inside."
"Well, why didn't ya kill 'em, then?" Gitgrabba shouted.
"Iunno, boss!" the ork said. Gitgrabba grabbed a shoota off the table, aimed it at the wide-eyed face of the idiot, then pulled the trigger. There was a loud, and very satisfying bang as the ork's head exploded from off of his shoulders.
"Soemone, grab me another lackey!" he shouted before standing. He clomped his way over to the far end of his office. There was a wide window there, the one the previous owner of the space had used to overlook the hangar. This place was Gitgrabba's base, Overkliff, and below him was where his boys did their work. Just this week they had assembled and sent out half a dozen stompas and a hundred gorkanauts, as well as a whole heap of trukks and battlewagons. His wasn't the biggest operation, but he was getting there.
And sitting there, in the middle of the hangar, was his pride and joy. The Killadozer. The other ork factories that warboss Bone-Apart had couple make all sorts of stompas and bommers and dakka-jets, but could they make something like this? He chuckled darkly, even as he watched the great gargant slowly turn its upper half away from the rear of the hangar. Napoleork would have his one thousand stompas. Some from here, others from elsewhere. Then they'd all walk over the crumbling walls of the humie city.
And leading them would be Gitgrabba, in his Killadozer. His chuckle turned into full-on laughter. Then it cut off as he heard some of the gretchin in his office dragging the corpse away. Right. The humies. Had to take care of them, first.
Skagzy stared down into the hole.
"Down there?" he asked. Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. The ork that had led him and his boys over shrugged.
"Yeah? What, you scared o' the dark?" Skagzy turned his head towards the ork who cowered back a little. He was in his mek. He and all of his boys were proper meganobz, owing to how they were just better than all the rest. The gretchin on his back snorted, then hooted and hollered at the idiot leading them.
"I'm not afraid of some darkness, idiot," he snapped.
"Just making sure you're sending up down the right 'ole is all."
"Yeah, course," the ork said.
"Right. Well, this is the one. Ya walk in, and just keep walking, yeah?"
"Yeah," Skagzy said. The plan was simple, but it wasn't something he'd have thought of. For the past couple of weeks, the bravest and angriest orks had been heading out and poking at the humies. Shooting at the trenches, then running back. That was good fun, but it was also proper clever, because while they were running over and making a racket, the gretchin under the earth were hard at work.
Skagzy gestured his nobs forwards, and they tramped down into the tunnels, walking by a long line of gretching moving by in the other direction being whipped by a grinning boss nob. The big machines had been taken out already, so it was all one long tunnel with a few lights hanging off the walls every hundred paces or so. The tunnel ran from the back of the camp all the way over to the back of the humie trenches, and the end was loaded up with enough explosives to wake them up nice and proper.
The plan was proper clever. Tonight, the end of this tunnel was gonna blow, and Skagzy and his boys were gonna pop out and blow up some humies. There were a hundred tunnels just like it, spread out across the entire wall. Some of them ended up a little too crooked and ran into each other, but for the most part they made it to behind the trenches, or close enough to them. Once they blew the ends out, they'd rush out. Meganobs and boys with choppas and shootas and plenty of gretchin too.
Then, while they were right up at the walls and the big humie guns were taken out, the rest of the army would be coming in, nice and easy-like. Skagzy grinned. It was gonna be a proper good time.
