Reaching the Ninth Tier was like taking a blindfold off in a room I had been stumbling through for centuries. My perception of the uncompiled Void, the deep rifts, and the foundational Lattice was no longer a matter of active, straining scrying. Under the passive authority of my new Domain, the silver strings of causality were as clear as day, stretching across the planetary systems and galaxies of Sector Z-99 in a beautifully organized blueprint.
I didn't just look at the space; I felt the microscopic vibrations of the uncompiled gravity-strings, the flow of the unrefined mana, and the exact coordinates where the physical laws were being written. Along with my personal breakthrough, the Sanctum — our ancient, un-systemic stronghold, the Veiled Path — had undergone a massive structural expansion.
The basalt foundations of our underground base beneath Bastion hummed with a stable, highly coordinated Void-essence, unlocking new, planetary-scale monitoring and cloaking functions. The uncompiled shielding grid was now capable of projecting our newly developed "Humming Veil" across the entire atmosphere of Ferra and Bir-Z, cloaking our world-signatures in an absolute, starless stasis that surpassed standard System-standard veils. But the most significant, high-tier improvements occurred within my Anima.
Because our soul gates were permanently integrated into a single, unified Domain, my Ascension to the Ninth Tier had systematically triggered a major, evolutionary breakthrough within every single one of my soul-bound companions. They weren't just stronger; their skills and conceptual authorities had been re-made into tools of terrifying, divine power and utility. I gathered the entire retinue in the Academy's central training pit to test and integrate their new capabilities.
Jeeves stepped forward first, his silver-trimmed black tuxedo perfectly pressed, his posture carrying an unyielding, polite grace.
"My shadow-transit has been highly optimized, Master," Jeeves said, a quiet, flat smile touching his pale face.
"Your breakthrough has established an integrated soul-tether between our gates. I am no longer just your steward; my very essence is wreathed in your will." To test this, I simply thought of a coordinate fifty yards away behind a basalt wall. Without a single micro-second of lag, Jeeves' shadow-form vanished from my side and manifested exactly at that coordinate.
He didn't use a spatial portal or a gravity-slope; his shadow was pulled directly by the tension of my own mind, bypassing the physical delay of spatial transit. It was a "Will-Tether" — an instantaneous, zero-cost transport that allowed Jeeves to support my coordinates at light-speed.
"The latency is down to absolute zero, Jeeves," I noted, analyzing his shadow-slip using my [Void-Lattice Perception].
"But the spatial friction of your transit is still creating a microscopic, two-millimeter drag on my Domain's boundary. If you align your shadow-current to the uncompiled resonance of my Humming Veil, you can completely eliminate that kinetic ripple." Jeeves closed his eyes, his shadow-current adjusting to my frequency, and executed the transit again. This time, his shadow slipped through the stone without producing a single vibration in the Void or any of our perception arrays.
"Perfect alignment," I nodded. Nyx emerged from my shadow next, her dark silk robes unfurling like a cloud of silent ink.
"My cloning has evolved, Eren," she said, her telepathic voice smooth and level.
"I am no longer just creating spatial illusions. I can project my own essence into the Lattice." She flicked her wrist, and three identical copies of her form stepped out of the shadows. I maximized my [Void-Lattice Perception] to scan them, but to my absolute astonishment, I couldn't find a single difference. Each clone carried her exact physical density, her star-core rotation speed, and her shadow-frequency.
It wasn't an illusion; it was a "Lattice-Clone" — a perfect, physical mirage so dense that even a perception-focus Tier 10 Ascendant would have registered them as real, independent entities.
"Your clones are flawless, Nyx," I said, walking around one of her copies.
"But their density is still slightly too static. When they move, they aren't drawing on the local ambient mana. You need to let their silver threads 'breathe' in harmony with the ambient wind-currents of the room to truly imitate your origin, otherwise people might get suspicious out the gate." Nyx nodded, her eyes flickering as she adjusted her cores' rotation.
Instantly, the three clones began to draw subtly on the local mana, their physical presence becoming so indistinguishable from her true body that even my newly evolved Tier 9 perception struggled to identify the original.
"An exceptional tool for assassination and diversion," I noted, highly pleased.
"Your stealth is truly incomperable."
"BOISTEROUS FEAT!" Rexxar's laughter boomed across the basalt plains, shaking the loose gravel at our feet as the golden-furred lion vanguard stepped into the pit.
"LET THE SO-CALLED ARMADAS TRY TO DENT MY CARAPACE NOW, MASTER!" Rexxar's improvement was the most physically spectacular. He wove his golden-light mana into his own physical coordinates, his central star-core cycling into a maximum, high-frequency rotation. He didn't just grow; he magnified his structural density. His golden fur flared with a blinding, white-hot light as his body expanded into a fifteen-foot-tall, nuclear-dense giant of absolute muscle and bone.
When he slammed his massive, armored fist into the basalt floor, the kinetic impact created a localized gravity-crater that flattened the volcanic dirt for fifty yards, his spiritual pressure carrying the weight of a small moon. The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. To test his new defense, I launched a controlled, non-lethal [Harmonic Void-Catalyst] directly at his massive chest. Rexxar didn't flinch.
He raised his golden arms, his massive, white-hot gravity-carapace absorbing the kinetic impact with an absolute, effortless density, the uncompiled sparks of the Catalyst dissolving into his aura.
"Your kinetic absorption is exceptional as per usual, Rexxar," I noted, checking the core-rotation in his chest.
"And I really like the new soul affinity you managed to pick up. But your size-expansion is causing a minor, four-percent delay in your core-rotation speed, probably due to the Affinities you somehow picked up from me. If you compress your internal Flame core while expanding your external Void-density, you can maintain your high-speed rotation even at fifteen feet."
Rexxar laughed, his core humming as he implemented the adjustment, the gravity-crater around his boots instantly stabilizing into a smooth, perfectly controlled stasis.
"THE LION LIKES THIS COLD WEIGHT, MASTER! IT FEELS AS IF I AM BECOMING THE BASALT ITSELF!" Zareth stepped out of the shadow-veils next, his creepy, polite face carrying too many teeth as he bowed his head.
"My void-summoning has been granted a deeper permission, Sovereign," Zareth clicked, his telepathic voice wreathed in the uncompiled current of the fourth Void Layer.
"I can now open our rifts directly into the deep, unintegrated sectors. My summoned void-beasts can exist within your Domain, completely hidden in a deeper sub-layer of reality." To demonstrate, Zareth wove his uncompiled void-mana, and a massive, non-Euclidean void-beast — a leviathan of folded gravity and starless vacuum — materialized from a rift.
But it didn't enter our three-dimensional space; it stayed wreathed in the third layer, invisible to any standard detection, yet its massive, protective gravity-pouch was wreathed around my personal coordinate, ready to act as a silent, absolute shield.
"We can hide an entire squad inside the void-pocket," I noted, the tactical potential of the skill clear.
"A silent, mobile vanguard." Leoric and Kasian were the final two to present their upgrades. Leoric, vibrating with a manic, highly caffeinated excitement, showed me his newly refined matter-forging.
"The materials from G-42 Epsilon... they are like clay in my hands now, Eren! I can physically align the atomic structures of unpolished quartz with our magnetic-slate, fusing them without creating any structural friction! I can craft uncompiled resonant-relays that will make our planetary shield practically invincible!" Kasian, floating in the center of the basalt hall, looked at me with his empty, glowing eyes.
"The data-link with the ANON's supercomputers has allowed me to tap deeper into possibilities of analysis. Now, with my improved access to the the Akashic Records, I shall ensure all inquiries are answered. I have also unlocked vast streams of pre-Shattering metadata. The history of the Sunder-Kin and the origin of your bloodline are slowly unraveling." After the testing, we retreated to the deep, silent vaults of the Cradle. It was a cheerful, warm training session.
Anna, Kaelen, and Bennu sat on the high stone benches, spectating and cheering as my Anima and I practiced our new, synchronized combat rotations. Kaelen gave a happy, silent yip, teleporting three inches into the air to land directly on Rexxar's giant, golden shoulder, while Bennu — currently compressed to the size of a parrot — released a soft, purring chirp of raw, conceptual heat that warmed the cold air of the vault.
"You're looking like a real Void Emperor now, Eren," Anna teased, her silver robes fluttering as she laughed.
"With all of your anima, power, wealth and especially your little void fox and phoenix. I'm almost jealous of your retinue."
"I'm just an editor making sure my tools are sharp, Anna," I smiled, taking a sip of the sweet, starlight-honey tea Eliza had prepared. We spent the afternoon planning our next strategic steps. We discussed the massive core-sink of volatile Essence on Freonim-Prime.
"We must keep the option of the weapon open," Lucas said, his face grave as he reviewed our planetary defense charts.
"If the systemic war is a clash between different Compiler engines, a space-shearing bomb of that scale could be our only way to delete their primary sectors before they can delete Ferra, or the entire sector for that matter... But we must also use the Essence to fuel Leoric's planetary shield upgrades he says are now possible."
"We will do both," I said, my voice level and quiet.
"We'll keep the active siphons dark, and we'll subtly siphon five percent of the liquid mana to act as a silent reserve for Ferra's defenses. Aion and I will prepare an [Echo] to trace the coordinates of the first system, while we keep our overwatch tight." As the training ended and the rest of the group departed to begin the strategic preparations, I walked down the long, obsidian-lined corridors to the Hall of the Chronicle to find Kasian.
The elemental of knowledge was floating in the center of his blue-light server core, his translucent fingers tracing a stream of newly compiled silver metadata.
"Kasian," I said, leaning my back against a basalt pillar.
"Your newly unlocked records. Did you find anything regarding the blurry vision I experienced during my Ascension?" I described the giant, slow-spinning Wheel — the cosmic vortex where souls and concepts were stripped of their variables, and how the spirit-sparks that exited carried entirely different, unmapped geometric scars, as if they were completely different souls. Kasian went completely, deathly silent.
His glowing, empty eyes stared at me, his spectral form trembling as he slowly traced the metadata on his screen.
"Master..." Kasian whispered, his voice dropping to a low, cold rasp that made the basalt pillars of the hall vibrate.
"What you saw... it wasn't a hallucination. And it wasn't a standard system-calculation. The records I have unlocked speak of an ancient, pre-Shattering law that existed before the first Prime System was compiled. They call it the Samsaric Core — the foundational compiler of the our dimension's souls." He turned to face me, his spectral face wreathed in an absolute, terrifying gravity.
"But there is a major, impossible anomaly in your vision, Eren. The records state that the Samsaric Core is an absolute, closed loop. No soul can ever enter the Wheel carrying the variables of another universe, and no soul can ever escape its rotation once compiled. So... if your soul gate carries the unmapped, alien geometry of a distant shore... how did you manage to get through the compiler in the first place?"
I stared at him, the silence of the room heavy, the question echoing in my star-cores with a cold, unyielding weight. The road ahead was wider than it ever had been, but as I looked at the Chronicle, I knew the answer was waiting at the end of the line. And I was going to find it.
