The noonval sun was bright and cast a long shadow upon the world.

"We should continue until we reach the Iyr," the man said, who was as radiant like the noonval sun.

"No," the man replied, who cast the longest shadow.

"It would be best."

"The children will suffer if we move so swiftly."

"It is not because you wished to coax the soldiers to their deaths?" a woman said, whose finger threatened to sear into the side of the shadow's neck.

"If they so wish, shall I refuse them such a gift?"

"We shall head to Sev, for Sev is enough distance, and should the soldiers come, they shall only come from the north, and the east, and from the west, we shall pray for the Iyr."

"Pray?" It was he, the shadow, who snarled.

"What need of I to pray for the Iyr? If they wish to have this fun, they should have sent out their warriors!"

"Their warriors?"

"Am I not a man of the business?" Jarot exclaimed, and then a finger darted towards him, but it was not the finger of his wife.

"You dare!" exclaimed the voice, who was brighter than the sun, and even her tiny form cast a great shadow, for she was who she was, the daughter of a Ray, the daughter of a Crazy Father, and the greatdaughter of a Mad Dog, and, of coas, the great daughter of an Ascending Swallow.

"You are shouting at my nano? My nano? You think I will not?"

"Hmm…" Jarot cleared his throat.

"My greatdaughter, I must ask for mercy, for today, it is because this greatfather of yours, he wishes to see blood."

"Since my greatfather wishes to see blood, I shall show mercy, but just this once. If I see this greatfather of mine speak this way to my greatmother, we will see, okay? We will see!"

"Besides," called a voice, of a man they might consider to be the most radiant, and the one who cast the greatest shadow of all.

"If they do come, we will not need the support of the Iyr, for one, or two, or ten Fireballs should be enough to deal with them."

"No, this is a matter of the Iyr," Jarot said, placing a hand upon his grandson's shoulder.

"If you enter, they will focus their swords only upon you. If we, the Iyr, cause a mess, the King can only ask we do not go too far, and since our children have been harmed, the Iyr will teach them."

"The Iyr must have already sent out small units to begin reconnaissance," Mulrot mused, lips twitching slightly in anticipation. Dogek remained silent before them all, who spoke of this death so easily, for they were Iyrmen, like he, save one, and yet even he spoke of death so easily, even though he was who he was, and the amulet at his chest was what it was, he was still the Ray's husband.

"I'll fight," Adam said, motioning to his forehead.

"I may not be an Iyrman, but I still have this tattoo."

"Jirot, you must tell your father he cannot," Jarot said, and seeing the awkwardness on the girl's face, he turned to Mulrot.

"How can your father say this?" Mulrot asked, half turning away, as though wounded.

"My grandson wishes to take all the fun for himself? If he fights, he will not beside you?"

"Daddy, you cannot go," Jirot said, her voice pained for she did not wish to speak the words, but how could she not? Her greatmother spoke so, and if she spoke so, what else could she say? Adam let out a soft hum. It was quite the mistake.

The amber eyes remained glued to him, and though he did his best not to turn to meet her gaze, since his daughter was trying to glare at him, he had to look down to see her glare, and thus the half elf sighed, and he picked up the girl, surrendering himself, for the girl would not allow him to step out of line, and as long as she kept a tight hand upon him, he would not step out of line. The two exchanged quick kisses, for they understood the awkwardness in the air, and seeing as many were eager for battle, and it was the Iyrmen who were eager to fight, blood would soon spill across the soil, and duskval's bounty would be enriched, and plentiful.

"Once more, we shall entrust the matter of the children within your care," Malfev said, clasping his palm over his fist in the martial way.

"It is our greatest honour," Vasera replied, and for once, even she, the Golden Savage that she was, could feel the terror within her heart. To have the Iyr ask them to watch over the children, even if they would have under Adam's command, still terrified her to her core.

Sonarot glanced aside to Bael, who caught the woman's gaze, and he nodded his head, for Bael, being who he was, would need to remain with them, with the children, for though Adam, alone, was probably enough to support those remaining, with Bael there, it would take more than a single company to dare to draw their steel in front of them.

'What a shame I will be unable to see the Iyrmen fight…' Bael thought, and yet, his hand blurred through the air, and as the other arm blurred in return, the two fought for a moment. 'You dare?' Adam thought.

"I shall remain, and should they dare to strike you, I will burn my Spark and completely disintegrate them," Bael promised, causing the girl's lips to form a tiny circle, and as little Jarot waddled up to them, Bael picked him up, noticing Adam's eyes, which were full of such viciousness.

Swiftly, the Iyrmen made their way to their carriages, and thus they began their journey to the third village, rushing with a swiftness, and as the magical steeds pushed themselves, the Iyrmen who could move with swiftness followed alongside them, and after an hour or so, swapped places to rest. Meanwhile, those of the Three Hundred Blades returned to Red Oak, and though a handful of giant bears made their way towards them, they dealt with the beasts with such ease, with hearts heavy.

However, they were just glad the Iyrmen had actually allowed them to leave, though they would know if they were allowed to live if they actually finally stepped into Red Oak. The Iyrmen approached the first of the villages, and they stopped, resting their steeds a short moment, while Duteous stepped out to greet the Chief, and spoke briefly with them. We must continue. That was what Dogek had said. Not we will continue. We must. Must. The Iyrmen, for some reason, had no choice.

They did not even stop to speak of their tales. They did not even stop to speak of the children's health. They barrelled out of the village with a swiftness, it caused the villagers to understand, something had gone terribly wrong. There was no way a child was harmed. No way. As the forest greeted them began to greet them ahead, shadows emerged from the tree line, and the Iyrmen who remained atop the carriages began to draw their steel, Raining Bow knocking an arrow, except, Tarvol.

Tarvol peeked an eye towards the shadows, and remained sitting atop his carriage, waiting for the shadows to reveal themselves properly before they got themselves killed. The caravan of carriages slowed to a halt.

"Raygon, Captain of the First Death Squad, reporting for duty!" exclaimed a figure, surrounded by ten figures, like the others who stepped out.

"Sinlaf, Captain of the Second Death Squad, reporting for duty!" exclaimed another.

"Linban, Captain of the Third Death Squad, reporting for duty!"

"Shohak. Captain of the Fourth Death Squad. Reporting for duty."

"How can it go, when she is right here?"

"What?"

"Mummy." Adam furrowed his brows, causing the girl to shake her head, while Vonda reached out a hand to brush the girl's cheek.

"Mummy."

"That was a good joke."

"Oooh!" Adam gasped, leaning down to kiss his daughter's cheek gently.

"You are so witty. How can it be so?"

"It is because I am mummy's daughter."

"I was informed she was gone." Jirot side eyed her father, and reached out a hand, and the pair high fived. Neither of them quite understood just how quiet Dogek had become, surrounded by the four Death Squads.

'They have…'

"We will escort you to the Iyr!"

"We intend to stop within Sev."

"Understood!"

'They must have made their way out yesterday,' Dogek thought, and, thankfully, had made the wise decision to rest up, entrusting the Iyrmen who had stepped out to protect the children.

"Do you know who this one is?" Mulrot asked.

"It is nano Sinlaf, who is your cousin," Jirot said, raising a brow to her greatmother.

"My greatdaughter is so smart!" Mulrot pulled the girl in, planting a firm kiss on her forehead. Sinlaf was a woman with red skin, horns, and though she was a Laf, she did not wield the axe and shield, and she did not dance, and it was her family who was most similar to the Rot family, although they did not reach the same heights, in the same way that the Gak family, though it may possess similar martial arts to other families, the Gak family also did not reach such heights.
