A pair of silver eyes. A pair of amber eyes. It was those eyes which stared at her so curiously. Pam blinked.
"Kako, you are comfortable?" Jirot asked, sauntering up to her aunt, pausing before her, reaching over to rub her knee tenderly.
"I am."
"Good, good, kako…" Jirot's eyes remained narrowed with suspicion.
"You must tell me if you are not comfortable, and I will destroy the world, okay?"
"Please do not."
"Since you asked me, I will not." Malfev turned his head towards his greatniece, who felt his gaze, but she decided to glance aside, only to find her mother.
"It was just a joke, mummy…" The girl flushed, to suggest perhaps there was a small truth to it.
"If you wish to destroy the world!" exclaimed an old man, who clenched his fist tightly, but as he felt his granddaughter's gaze, his wild grin slipped to gritted teeth.
"If you destroy the world, how can you enjoy your potatoes?" Jirot furrowed her brows, and as she turned her head, she placed a finger upon her chin and lip.
"Oh yeah." As Adam returned to find his children all charging him, leaving their sketches behind, he lifted them all up one by one and once he was done greeting them, he checked on their art, allowing them to tell him all about it.
"Daddy, you are, um, alcheming?" Karot asked.
"Yeah, I'm…" Adam thought about the word.
"Alchemising? I'm alchemising something, and then, after the festival, I'll need to start some hard work. Well, I'll need to, you know, do the secret things for the Iyr, and then do some more secret hard work, that we can't tell anyone, okay?"
"Okay!"
'The children are so good at picking up what I'm doing…' As Adam alchemised, Pam continued to relax, feeling the fatigue of her adventure, and more, all the while the children watched over her, perhaps a touch more than she wished. Finally, her husband loomed over the children, and began to scatter them as he chased them, pretending to be unable to pick them up. Damrot stood, and though Virot ran, he remained still. 'I see.' Jurot understood this was Damrot's victory as he picked him up by the scruff of his shirt and began to chase the rest, Damrot swaying through the air as though he were flying, until Virot was also half flying.
"You have two arms so you cannot catch us now!" Jirot declared, pointing at her papo, who placed the two down. Jirot blinked. Once Adam had completed his alchemising, he made his way to the business, carrying a jar about the size of his head, as Jurot wore a large pack, carrying more jars, stacked together, and as the children watched him, they noticed the way his muscles flexed, and as he placed down the pack, the children began to speak of their own large muscles, flexing to one another.
"What is this?" Vadim asked, peeking down at the jar.
"It's a lotion for your skin, one to help cool down your burn marks," Adam explained, motioning to the jars.
"Each jar should last you a couple of months at least, probably more, since you need about… I don't know, a drop for each limb or so?"
"I have half my limbs so perhaps twice as long?" Vadim joked. Adam flushed.
"I guess so now that I think about it." Vadim let out a soft sigh, and with a gentle smile, he bowed his head.
"Thank you."
"I've sent in the order for Hakam's armour and weapons, though I'll need to take his measurements, and then he should get his armour… by year's end, maybe? Or early next year?" Vadim furrowed his brows. The armour, the weapons, were going to be made so swiftly? Once Adam greeted the various members of the business, he made his way away, though was stopped by a pair of twins, a pair of toddlers who grumbled up towards him, until he picked the pair up.
"Alya, Asya, what's wrong?" The girls pointed away, towards their ahm, Bilal, who stood with the rest of the Aswadian children.
"What? Is ahm bullying you?"
"Huu…"
"Bully!"
"Oh? Ahm Bilal is bullying you? Alright, I'm going to beat him up." Adam placed the girls down and marched his way to Bilal and then tapped his shoulder, turning around.
"Come on. You can beat him up too." The girls rushed over and tapped his legs gently, the two glaring up at him.
"What did you do?"
"They wished to eat dirt."
"Okay, well, Alya, Asya, you have to start with that. Ahm is right." The girls blinked. They reached out and tapped Adam's legs. He gasped, and rubbed his legs, causing the girl's lips to tremble, and they began to cry, causing Mustafa to cry, then Zainab, and then Karim. Ali turned to look towards Omer. The two shrugged between one another. The younger children looked to Adam. They continued to cry harder.
"Why are they crying at me! They hit me!" Adam half exclaimed.
"How can you make my nieces and nephews cry," Bilal said, his tone cold as death, and he wrapped his arms around the children, holding them close, and slowly began to stop crying.
'I should beat him up,' Adam thought.
'He's probably not as strong as Radiant Blade…' It as then Adam remembered what he did to Prince Morkarai.
'Actually…' As the week came to a close, and Adam took the day off, he went to spend time with the business, along with his children.
"I heard you bullied my daddy," Jirot said, looming over the two little devilkin twins. She wrapped her arms around each of them.
"Good job!" The girls squealed as they hugged Jirot.
"Kaza!"
'Oh, right…' Adam thought, since Jirot and Jarot were always enamoured with the devilkin, or those who looked like them.
'I feel like that's a little…' No. How could he think such a thing when Alya and Asya deserved such favour? It was during such a time when the Great Elders of the Iyr needed to discuss something important.
