Chương 35: The mutant voyager

Amelia and Ace rushed through the streets of Moorseville.

"We need to find Mochi before he does something stupid," Amelia said. Ace sighed.

"That's basically his specialty." Amelia glanced at him.

"And now you're worried arent you."

"Even if its just a little bit huh?" Amelia smiled slightly.

"So you do actually care huh?."

"You act tough, but you're actually such a big softie" Ace rolled his eyes.

"Can we save the emotional conversation?" Amelia smiled"Alright, fine" They continued running. Meanwhile, high above the streets, Mochi crouched on the edge of a building. He looked down at the man standing below.

"Alright... I think that's him down..." Mochi smirked.

"Now I just gotta be sneaky so he doesn't notice me." Hogsthawts suddenly stopped. His eyes slowly moved upward. Straight toward Mochi. He smirked. Then raised two fingers. Mochi's eyes widened.

"Crap, he noticed me.." Mochi then narrowed his eyes"Two fingers?" Suddenly, two figures leapt from the shadows.

"What the..?!" They knocked Mochi off the building. Mochi crashed down into the street, sending civilians scattering.

"Get out of the way!" Ace and Amelia looked over.

"There he is!" Amelia shouted. They immediately rushed toward him. Mochi slowly pushed himself up and wiped the dirt from his face.

"Who the heck are you guys?" The two men stood before him.

"Us?" One of them grinned.

"I'm Rook." The other cracked his neck.

"And I'm Soren." Rook pointed toward Mochi.

"We're two of the strongest members of the Hollow Seven, working directly under Doctor Hogsthawts." Amelia and Ace rushed through the streets of Moorseville.

"Hey! What are you guys doing here?!" He pointed at Rook and Soren.

"I was about to fight these guys on my own!" Amelia chuckled.

"Sorry, Mochi. But consider it orders from Thomas himself." Mochi scratched the back of his head.

"Aww, man..." He sighed.

"Alright, alright. If you say so."

"If Thomas said that then I can't argue.." His grin returned as he raised his fists.

"Alright, let's go!" Mochi, Ace and Amelia stood across from Rook and Soren. For a moment, nobody moved. Then Mochi grinned.

"Alright, who wants to go first?" Rook smirked.

"Allow me!." He rushed forward. Mochi met him head on. Their fists collided before Rook followed with a kick. Mochi ducked underneath it and drove his elbow toward Rook's stomach. Rook blocked.

"Quite, impressive.."

"Well, you hit pretty hard too." Soren suddenly appeared beside Amelia.

"Don't you dare forget about me!" Amelia barely blocked his punch.

"I wouldn't dream of it!" She kicked toward his chest. Soren caught her leg and threw her aside. Ace immediately stepped in.

"Back off!" He swung a blade at Soren. Soren flipped over it with ease. Ace followed with another punch. Soren slipped underneath.. Ace scoffed.

"He's fast..." He then drove his knee forward, forcing Soren back. Across the street, Mochi and Rook continued trading blows. Mochi ducked beneath a punch.

"Amelia!"

"Ace!"

"What?!" Ace replied.. Mochi raised a finger..

"Why dont we use or special move.. Amelia blocked Soren's strike as she turned to Mochi..

"You mean Super Voyage Break?!" Ace looked over.

"You fool, we haven't even mastered it yet?"

"This isnt like training, if we mess up then we will be punished for it!" Mochi grinned.

"That's the point.."

"Let's try it!" Rook laughed.

"You're seriously stopping to charge up your special move?" Mochi pointed at him.

"It aint like we have anything else to try" He ignited in blue flames. A massive sphere of blue fire began forming between his hands.

"LETS GO!" Mochi and Amelia rushed toward him from opposite sides. They struck the sphere simultaneously. Red and blue energy surged into it. The blue sphere began glowing violently.

"MAGIC SKILL: SUPER VOYAGE BREAK!" Rook's expression changed.

"W-what the hell is that?" Soren narrowed his eyes.

"Its fricking massive?!" Ace gritted his teeth.

"Hold it steady Mochi!"

"The power is unstable.."

"I'm trying!" Mochi shouted. Amelia struggled.

"Something's wrong!" The sphere suddenly twisted... Ace's eyes widened.

"Oh, no." The attack launched. But instead of flying straight toward Rook and Soren, it veered sharply to the side. Mochi stared.

"IT WENT THE WRONG WAY!" The massive attack tore through the air, completely missing their opponents. Rook stared at it.

"Did they just miss?" Soren smirked.

"ARGH" Amelia turned"MOCHI NO!" Soren then slammed into Amelia.

"Focus on your own battles girl!" Ace tried to intercept him, but Soren ducked underneath his attack. Ace cupped his hands"Magic skill: FLAMETHROWER!" A torrent of blue flames errupted.. "Where'd you learn to fight?" Soren smirked"Stopping that was almost too easy.." Soren dashed with great speed and drove a punch into Ace's stomach. Ace staggered. Soren smirked Then Ace did.. Soren's eyes widened"Why are you smiling?" Ace grabbed Soren's arm.

"Im smiling becuase I find it funny you think you can actually defeat us" Soren said"Why you cocky.." Ace grinned"Now, ita your turn." Ace said coldly Ace swung him aside. The two then clashed in the air Meanwhile, Rook rushed Mochi again. Mochi blocked.

"Man.. that attack would've been sick if we'd actually aimed it right!" Amelia then joined in the attack"Well Ace is saying its because of you using toi much magic energy.." Mochi looked at her confused"No way you actually believe Mr grumpy pants.. it's obviously him that's the issue here not me.." Amelia sighed"Well we have no other explanation so.." Rook laughed.

"You're worried about that right now?" Mochi looked eyes widened.

"Amelia, he's coming!" He drove his fist forward. Amelia joined in"I'm on it!" The two exchanged attacks relentlesly Amelia leapt into the air"Magic skill: Cracker missiles!" A large amount of tiny cracker shards fell aiming for Rook. Rook began dodging them with ease"TOO SLOW!" She looked toward Mochi.

"NOW GO!" Mochi nodded. He charged in.

"Magic skill: Burning MOCHI!" The attack launched catching Rook off guard as he was blasted away.. Mochi dusted his hands off as he high five Amelia.. Rook wiped his mouth. He slowly got up..

"Hey Soren these people might be more trouble than we thought.." Ace and Soren were clashing as Ace dodged and slammed Soren into the ground..

"Yeah I agree..."

"I have no Aidea what they're on but they keep growing not stronger but its like they're beggining to understand how we fight""And they're using that to gain control over the battle" Rook and Soren instantly regrouped Rook cracked his knuckles.

"So what do you think we do?" Soren smiled.

"Use the drugs the doctor gave us..." Rook's eyes widened"The ones which are still in its beta testing phase?"

"Soren, thats risky as hell, are you crazy?"

"Im not trying to die here!" Soren pulled out a syringe..

"Well if you're not prepared to die for the doctor, were you eveb really a loyal hollow 7 member?" He injected himself.. His body began mutating. He turned into a beast.. he was no longer human. Mochi's eyes widened...

"What... is that?!." Amelia began trembling..

"Its magic.. its terrifying..." Ace stared in awe"He threw away his humanity for a simple powerup.. how crude.." Rook looked at his team mate"SOREN.. IT WORKED?!"

"IT REALLY WORKED!"

"It has the potential to even rival that of the doctor himself!" Soren looked at Rook He growled.. Then he grabbed Rook.. Rook panicked"H-hey Soren what are you doing.. im nit the enemy here.. those kids over there are.. PUT ME DOWN!" Soren roared as he tore Rook apart frpm his head.. blood spilling everywhere.. Amelia's eyes widened in pure fear of what she just saw..

"H-h-he.. just killed his own ally.. without mercy.." She dropped to her knees instantly"I cant feel my legs anymore. Whats going on.?." Ace stared in silence.. Mochi said in shock"He's fricking huge too! As big as a house!!" Amelia continued to tremble..

"Guys.. Im scared.. i dont think i can do this.." Mochi placed a hand on her shoulder"Dont worry, I understand.. I'm scared too Amelia, you're not alone on that.."

"But when loves are in the line, fear is something I have to look past... that's how i deal with that.." Amelia took a deep breath and smiled"Thanks Mochi.. I needed that.." Mochi nodded"No problem.."

"Now then.. how about we play with our new freind?" Amelia nodded getting into position"Alright..!" Ace drew his blades smirking"You took the words out of my mouth.."

"Im going to incinerate this monster to ashes!"
