[[Timed Quest Accepted.]] [[Time remaining: 4: 59. 59]] Adam quickly took the controls and piloted Spector straight towards the pirate ships. [SciFifanboy (Earth): Oh yeah, show us some SciFi action streamer.]"What's this, an unarmed vessel thinks he can interrupt our party? Go take care of him quickly, boys. I will finish taking care of this one." The pirate's voice came over the comm.

"On it, boss."

"You're going down trash, imagine trying to interfere without any weapons, you're just throwing your life away." [Noobkiller9000 (Earth): Is it normal for people to talk on an open mic during space battles? We saw the same thing in Space Rogue.] [Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): Not at all, pirates tend to leave their comms open in an attempt to taunt and strike fear into their prey. Space Rogue, on the other hand, is just a game and gamers naturally like to shit talk each other.] [DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): In true starship combat, the only people you generally talk to are your allies.] [Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): Why did they say that the streamers' ship is unarmed?] [Justiceistruth: (Earth): Hmmm, didn't that happen during some matches in Space Rogue too?] Adam ignored the pirates' threats and continued to fly towards the two ships that had broken off their attack on the Drard and were now coming towards him.

As soon as he was in range to use his laser repeaters, he took aim and fired all three. Laser blasts repeatedly shot out of their barrels before colliding with the pirates' shields and draining them quickly as he began to strafe around them, maintaining distance.

"WHAT! How can he fire from so far away? I'm not even in firing range yet."

"Not only that, but he's firing rapid laser shots and they're eating through my shields like anything." Adam had targeted two of his laser repeaters onto one of the ships while aiming the third at the other ship. It didn't take long for the first ship's forward shields to fail, allowing two of the laser repeaters to start tearing into the ship's hull.

"Fuck, my shields are already down, help me."

"I'm trying, but I can't get in range of him to attack as he keeps strafing away while draining my forward shields, which are almost gone. [Gunlovergirl (Earth): Err, I'm no expert on space battles, but isn't this too easy? After watching him in Space Rogue, I was expecting more of a challenge.] [Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): You're not wrong, look how quickly he drained that ship's shields, and what are those weapons that have such a long range, fire so rapidly and pack such a punch?] [Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): The distance and power put them on par with cruiser-class ship weapons; however, I have never seen or heard of them firing so rapidly.]"What the fuck are you two messing around at?" The pirate boss asked over the comm.

"We're in trouble, boss. This ship is packing some powerful weapons."

"What are you talking about? My scans showed that he was unarmed." [Superior4horns (Vinox 3): I'm sorry, but are they stupid? Who would dare fly a ship into space without at least a single weapon attached to it?] [Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): Pirates be pirates.]"Ah, hell, I need to break off or I'm a gonner." The pirate, whose shields had dropped, said before trying to break away from the fight.

Seeing and hearing what the pirate intended to do, Adam had all three laser repeaters switch to target that vessel and quickly the rapid fire lasers shredded the vessel, causing it to blow up. [AlamoMatador4thewin (Earth): 1 down.] [Superhearofangirl (Earth): Gunlovergirl is right, that was way too easy.] Adam switched to targeting the other ship that charged at him and with all three laser repeaters now targeting it, the ship's already weakened shields dropped almost instantly before the lasers tore into the hull as Adam strafed the Spector to make sure it was always targeting the front of the pirate ship where the shields had dropped, even when it tried to turn away. A few seconds later, the second pirate vessel blew up.

[Devil_Prince_Asura (Deverinian 9): 2 down, 1 to go, the streamer is shredding them literally.] [Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): I can't get over how powerful those laser weapons are.] [DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): It's certainly surprising.] Adam turned the Spector towards the last and largest of the three pirate ships that was still attacking the Drard before shooting towards it at high speed.

"Useless bastards, can't even beat one medium-class ship when they outnumber it." [Superior4horns (Vinox 3): Well, he obviously wasn't paying attention to the fight.] When in range, Adam once again opened up with his laser repeaters, and because all three were targeting one ship, they quickly tore through the pirate ship's shields before shredding his vessel."

"Ah! What the fuck, what's going on here?" The pirate asked in confusion as it stopped attacking the Drard and turned to engage Spector. Adam used the same tactic as with the other two pirate ships by continuing to maintain range while firing his laser repeaters; however, this pirate ship was larger and slightly better equipped.

"Take this." The captain said before firing off two seeker missiles that zoomed towards Spector. [StealthAssassin9 (Earth): Not good.] [Superhearofangirl (Earth): Evade streamer, use evasive manoeuvres.] Adam, however, continued to fire his laser repeaters as if he was not bothered by the incoming missiles. [Justiceistruth: (Earth): Why won't he dodge?] [Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): He must be confident in his defensive weaponry.] As the missiles got within a few thousand meters, Adam pressed a control on his console, and the viewers saw another hidden compartment open up on the ship as a different type of cannon appeared before it shot out hundreds of little blobs of red-hot plasma. As soon as the missiles and the plasma connected, the missiles exploded a good distance from the Spector. [Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): Plasma scatterguns. 😮] [DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): Well now.] [Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): That's surprising, you don't normally see a ship that size equipped with those, though it makes sense since his ship has a Neutron reactor core.] [Gunlovergirl (Earth): From your comment, I'm guessing they use a lot of energy?] [Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): Correct, while they don't shoot very far and the plasma will dissolve after a few thousand meters, they do fire hundreds of blobs of red hot plasma, which, while very effective, is not energy efficient. This is why you will see most starships use ballistic scatterguns instead; they not only do the same job while firing further, but they use a fraction of the energy of plasma scatterguns. The only real downside is the fact that you need to buy ammo for them.] [Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): You generally only see plasma scatterguns on cruiser-sized ships since they have a power core big enough to handle the energy loss, and they don't need to worry about restocking up on ammo on long-distance voyagers.]"What the hell is with this ship?" The pirate said, before firing off six missiles this time. It was not that he wanted to waste his missiles; it was just that he was unable to get in range of Spector to use his other weapons.

Adam continued to fire his laser repeaters, which by now had managed to carve off large parts of the pirates' ship, causing them to float away. As they got within range, Adam again fired the plasma scattergun and destroyed all the incoming missiles while continuing to fire his laser repeaters at the pirate ship, and after a few more seconds, the pirate ship could take no more and blew up along with the screaming pirate.

Ship costs are expensive and mount up quickly, from maintenance to fuel, upgrades, ammunition, supplies, crew wages, and port costs. [DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): Hahaha, don't worry about it.] Now that the pirates were taken care of, Adam flew the Spector towards the Drard and noticed that it wasn't in good shape and just as he was contemplating his next move, a communication request came in from the Drard. Adam tilted his head slightly before accepting it, and as he did so, the face of a small green-skinned man with large ears appeared on the view-screen. [Superior4horns (Vinox 3): Godz, it's a Gobli.] [Whostolemyduck (Earth): Gobli?] [Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): It's a smaller-than-average humanoid race that has green skin. They are known for being shrewd and greedy while being excellent at business matters.]
