The World Tree had split. One branch was golden. One branch was black. And between them... A third path was forming. It had no color. No symbol. No name. Yet every living soul could feel it. Rayan stared at the strange path.
"What is it?" Sophia looked terrified.
"I don't know." Rayan glanced at her.
"You've known everything until now."
"Not this." She shook her head.
"The Dreamers couldn't see it."
"The Origin Core didn't predict it."
"Even the Outer Void doesn't understand it." Rayan looked at the path again.
"Then maybe that's exactly why it exists." The Other Rayan stepped forward. His golden eyes narrowed.
"The third path must be destroyed." Rayan raised Shadowbreaker.
"Why?"
"Because it is unpredictable." Rayan smiled.
"That's not a reason."
"It is when the future is at stake." The Other Rayan's Void Astra erupted. Black energy swallowed the surrounding sky.
"I was created to maintain balance." Rayan looked at him.
"No."
"You were created because someone was afraid of imbalance." The stranger froze. Rayan continued.
"Balance isn't the absence of change."
"Balance is allowing change without letting it destroy everything." Eshan suddenly collapsed. Siena caught him.
"Eshan!" His body was burning with both golden and black energy. Rayan rushed toward them.
"What happened?" Sophia examined him.
"The two forces are rejecting each other."
"Can you stop it?"
"No." Rayan looked at Eshan.
"Then I'll do it." Siena grabbed his arm.
"Rayan, you don't have the Dharma Astra anymore."
"I know."
"Then what are you going to use?" Rayan looked at his own hand.
"I don't know." He placed his palm against Eshan's chest. Golden light appeared. Then black. Then... Something completely different. A colorless light surrounded them. Eshan's breathing stabilized. Sophia stared.
"Impossible." Rayan looked at her.
"What?"
"You didn't use Dharma."
"You didn't use Void."
"Then what was that?" Rayan looked at Eshan.
"Choice." The third path suddenly expanded. A bridge appeared between the golden and black branches. Across it... Images began appearing. A child becoming a warrior. A warrior becoming a king. A king abandoning his throne. A stranger becoming a friend. An enemy becoming an ally. Millions of possibilities. None predetermined. The path wasn't a power. It was a collection of choices. Rayan finally understood.
"The third path doesn't belong to anyone." Siena nodded slowly.
"It belongs to everyone." The Origin Core pulsed. The golden eye spoke.
"THIRD PATH RECOGNIZED." The Other Rayan immediately attacked. Black lightning tore through the sky. Rayan raised Shadowbreaker. Their weapons collided. BOOM! The impact shattered the clouds. Rayan was thrown backward. He landed on one knee. The Other Rayan appeared before him.
"You cannot defeat me." Rayan stood.
"I'm not trying to." The stranger frowned.
"Then what are you doing?" Rayan looked behind him. Siena. Kael. Caelum. Aster. Eshan. The people of Ayanor. Everyone was standing. Rayan smiled.
"Making sure I don't have to." The people began moving. Not because Rayan commanded them. Because they chose to. Golden Dharma energy flowed between them. The black Void energy answered. Instead of clashing... The two forces began stabilizing. Eshan stood. His eyes were now different. One golden. One black. He looked toward Rayan.
"I understand." Rayan smiled.
"Understand what?"
"I don't have to choose between them." Eshan raised his hands.
"I can choose what they become." The Other Rayan's expression changed.
"No." Eshan's Astra erupted. The golden and black energies intertwined. The third path became brighter. The World Tree stopped splitting. The two branches began growing toward each other. Not merging. Not destroying one another. Coexisting. The Origin Core trembled. The golden eye slowly closed. Then... A new symbol appeared. Not Dharma. Not Void. Something entirely new. AEON ASTRA The Astra of possibility. Rayan stared at it. The Other Rayan stepped backward.
"What have you done?" Eshan looked toward him.
"Nothing." He smiled.
"We chose." The third path opened completely. And from its depths... A figure emerged. An ancient woman wearing a crown made of stars. She looked at Rayan. Then Eshan. Then the Other Rayan. Her voice echoed across creation.
"At last..."
"The three heirs have awakened." Rayan tightened his grip on Shadowbreaker.
"Three?" The woman smiled.
"Yes." She pointed toward Rayan.
"The Heir of Dharma." Then Eshan.
"The Heir of Possibility." Finally... The Other Rayan.
"The Heir of the Void." Rayan's expression hardened.
"And who are you?" The woman looked toward the Origin Core.
"I am the one who created the first three paths." The universe fell silent. She smiled.
"And I have returned..."
"... because the final choice has arrived." The woman stood between the three branches of the World Tree. Golden light surrounded her. Black emptiness moved beneath her feet. And the colorless third path curved behind her like an endless road. Rayan kept Shadowbreaker raised.
"Who created the three paths?" The woman looked at him.
"I did." Siena narrowed her eyes.
"Then you're responsible for everything." The woman smiled.
"Not everything."
"Only the beginning." She raised one hand. The entire Origin Realm changed. Rayan saw the universe before the First Age. Before the Celestial Court. This novel's true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there. Before the Dreamers. Before humanity. Three forces had existed. Dharma. Void. Possibility. Dharma created laws. Void created endings. Possibility created choices. But the three forces could never remain together. So their creator separated them.
Dharma became the foundation of order. Void became the boundary of existence. Possibility became the space between them. And from Possibility... The first life emerged. Rayan stared.
"Then why did everything go wrong?" The woman looked toward the World Tree.
"Because creation feared freedom." She pointed toward Dharma.
"It created rulers." Then Void.
"It created destruction." Then Possibility.
"It created uncertainty." Rayan understood.
"Everyone wanted to control the future." The woman nodded.
"And every time someone tried..."
"... the universe suffered." The Other Rayan stepped forward.
"Then why create us again?" The woman looked at him.
"Because the cycle has reached its final stage." Eshan frowned.
"What cycle?" The woman answered:"Every universe eventually reaches the same question." She looked toward all three.
"Who deserves to decide what comes next?" Silence. The woman continued.
"Kings say they should."
"Gods say they should."
"Heroes say they should."
"Even the people sometimes demand someone else make the decision for them." Rayan looked down. He understood.
"That's why the Core keeps searching for an authority."
"Yes." The woman raised her hand. Three symbols appeared. Dharma. Void. Aeon.
"One of you must become the final authority." Rayan immediately answered:"No." The woman smiled.
"You haven't even heard the price."
"I don't care."
"You will lose your freedom." Rayan's expression hardened.
"Then the answer is still no." The Other Rayan laughed.
"Of course." He stepped forward.
"I accept." Everyone turned toward him. Rayan stared.
"You want to become the ruler?"
"No." The Other Rayan looked toward the woman.
"I want to erase the choice entirely." The woman smiled.
"Then you understand the Void." The sky darkened. The Other Rayan's Void Astra expanded. Every possibility around him began disappearing. Siena attacked. Her lotus blades struck the darkness. They vanished. Kael unleashed his flames. They disappeared. Caelum froze the Void. The ice ceased to exist. Aster's crimson threads were erased. Rayan rushed forward. Shadowbreaker struck. The blade vanished halfway through the attack. Rayan stared. The Other Rayan stood untouched.
"See?" He raised his hand.
"When nothing exists..."
"... nothing can suffer." Rayan looked at him.
"And nothing can love." The stranger froze. Rayan continued.
"Nothing can dream."
"Nothing can choose."
"Nothing can live." He raised his empty hand.
"That's not peace."
"That's death." Eshan stepped beside him. Golden-black energy surrounded his body.
"I don't want that." The Other Rayan looked at him.
"You don't understand." Eshan shook his head.
"Maybe." He smiled.
"But I know what I choose." The Aeon Astra awakened. The third path exploded with light. Every erased possibility began returning. Not as physical things. As choices. The Void could erase a possibility. But Aeon could create another. For every ending... A beginning appeared. The woman watched silently. Then she smiled.
"Good." Rayan looked at her.
"Good?"
"You finally understand."
"Understand what?" She pointed toward the three of them.
"The final authority doesn't belong to one heir." The three symbols began moving toward each other.
"The final authority belongs to the relationship between them." Dharma. Void. Aeon. Order. Ending. Possibility. None could exist independently. The Other Rayan stared at his own hand. For the first time... The darkness wasn't consuming everything. It was stabilizing. His Void Astra changed. The black energy became calmer. He looked at Rayan.
"Perhaps..." He hesitated.
"... I was wrong." Rayan smiled.
"You can say it louder." The Other Rayan rolled his eyes.
"Don't ruin the moment." Kael laughed. Even Siena smiled. For one brief moment... The three forces stood together. The woman stepped backward. Her body began dissolving into stars. Rayan immediately asked:"Wait." She stopped.
"Where are you going?"
"My purpose is complete."
"You created all this."
"And now..." She smiled.
"... you must decide what to do with it." Rayan looked at the three paths.
"What happens if we choose nothing?" The woman smiled.
"Then that..."
"... is also a choice." She disappeared. The Origin Core became silent. The World Tree stabilized. The three paths remained. But there was no throne. No crown. No ruler. Only three roads. Rayan looked toward Eshan. Then toward the Other Rayan.
"We don't need to decide today." Eshan smiled. The Other Rayan nodded. For the first time... They stood together. Not as enemies. Not as rulers. But as guardians of different possibilities. Years later... Children would ask:"Who saved the universe?" The answer would never be one name. They would hear about Rayan. Siena. Eshan. The Other Rayan. The people who chose to stand together. But the true lesson would be simpler. No one saved the world. Everyone did. And beneath the World Tree...
Three paths continued forward. One golden. One black. One colorless. None knew where they would lead. That was the point. Because for the first time... The future belonged completely to those who lived it. To be continue....
