The enormous flower slowly descended toward the ground. FWOOSH. It landed gently in front of a massive building. Everyone stepped out. Thomas stretched his arms.
"Well, that was quite the adrenaline rush." Mochi immediately bounced out of the flower.
"That was fun!" King jumped out after him.
"Yeah!" He turned toward Benkay.
"Hey, Master Benkay! Can we go again?" Benkay sighed.
"Now, now, King." He patted King on the shoulder.
"You live here. You have a lifetime to go on things like these." King's smile faded.
"Aww man..." He lowered his head.
"Fine." Benkay turned toward the enormous building behind them.
"Well then..." He spread his arms.
"Everyone, welcome to my guild hall!" Mochi looked up.
"Whoa..." The Fairy Guard guild hall was enormous. The building itself resembled a gigantic flower palace, with tall white walls intertwined with vines and enormous petals forming decorative roofs around the upper floors. Massive stained glass windows depicted fairies flying through enchanted forests. Several balconies extended from the sides, covered in flowers and greenery. A large golden emblem bearing the symbol of the Fairy Guard sat above the entrance. Krystal smiled nostalgically.
"It's nice to be back." Max looked around.
"Indeed." Tony's jaw dropped.
"WOAH!" He looked from one side of the building to the other.
"This is way bigger than ours!" He turned toward Thomas.
"Hey, old man!" Thomas looked at him.
"What?"
"When can we get an upgrade?" Thomas chuckled.
"Yeah, sure." Tony's eyes widened.
"Really?!" Thomas nodded.
"Of course." Tony grinned.
"Yes!" Thomas continued.
"Just keep grinding quests." Tony nodded enthusiastically. Love this story? Find the genuine version on the author's preferred platform and support their work!
"Got it!"
"And as soon as you finish them, one hundred percent of the rewards you earn will go toward upgrading the guild hall." Tony's smile dropped.
"Let's go!"
"Wait what?" Thomas raised a finger.
"And..." Tony froze.
"If we continue at our current pace, it'll take around seven years to reach this level." Tony's jaw dropped.
"SEVEN YEARS?!" Thomas nodded.
"Yep." He shrugged.
"That's how it works, I'm afraid." Tony stared at him in disbelief.
"... I take back my question..." Benkay walked toward the entrance.
"Alright!" He pushed both doors open.
"Welcome home!" Everyone stepped inside. The interior was just as impressive. A massive central hall stretched several floors upward, with balconies overlooking the room from every level. Huge chandeliers made from glowing flowers hung from the ceiling, illuminating the hall with a soft magical light. Plants grew naturally along the walls without making the place feel crowded. Large crystal windows filled the room with sunlight.
There were comfortable sofas, tables, training rooms, libraries, dining areas, and several corridors leading deeper into the guild hall. A huge staircase curved upward around a massive tree growing through the center of the building. Mochi stared upward.
"Woah..." Amelia looked around in awe.
"It's so beautiful in here." Benkay grinned.
"Heh. Pretty impressive, huh?" Mochi nodded.
"Yeah, its AMAZING!" Benkay raised a hand.
"But before everyone gets comfortable..." The group looked toward him.
"Since we'll be working together as a team for the time being, I'd like to see everyone's abilities in combat." He pointed toward the Voyagers.
"So, if you're all okay with it, I'd like to see what the Voyagers can do against the Fairy Guard." Thomas smirked.
"Very well." He folded his arms.
"A three versus three battle it is." Amelia immediately turned toward him.
"Wait!" She pointed at Thomas.
"You didn't even ask us!" Thomas raised an eyebrow.
"I shouldn't need to ask you." Amelia blinked.
"You shouldn't?"
"You should be jumping at the opportunity to hone your skills, Amelia." Thomas looked at her seriously.
"Besides, you're the one I've seen fight the least." He nodded toward the arena outside.
"So I'm interested in seeing your combat ability as well." Amelia's face slowly turned pink.
"Aww man..." She looked away.
"Now I'm embarrassed." Mochi grinned.
"Don't worry, Amelia." He raised his fist.
"We'll win for sure!" Amelia smiled.
"Yeah?" Mochi nodded confidently.
"And we'll show them!" He pointed dramatically toward the Fairy Guard.
"Because the Fairy Guard will be going up against the future strongest guild in the world!" Everyone stared at him. Amelia sighed.
"Here we go again." Mochi grinned.
"But I like that confidence of yours!" Amelia clenched her fist.
"Alright then.."
"I'm pumped!" She looked toward the Fairy Guard.
"Let's do this!" King grinned.
"Well, Ace..." He cracked his knuckles.
"In a way, looks like you'll be getting your rematch after all." Ace smirked.
"Yeah." He reached for his swords.
"I can't wait to show you my new move." King's grin widened.
"Oh?" Ace's eyes narrowed.
"You'll see." Benkay clapped his hands.
"Alright, everyone!" He pointed toward the back entrance.
"We have a battle arena in the yard." He started walking.
"Please follow me!" Mochi immediately followed.
"Let's go!" Amelia followed beside him. Ace walked behind them, tightening the straps around his swords. King, Krystal, and Max followed from the opposite side. The two teams walked toward the arena. Neither side had any intention of losing. And before long... The Fairy Guard and the Voyagers would finally clash. The group stepped outside into the guild hall's massive training grounds. At the center of the grounds stood the Fairy Guard's battle arena.
It was a gigantic circular platform surrounded by a wide grassy field. Smooth white stone formed the outer walls, while glowing flowers grew between the cracks, giving the entire arena a natural yet imposing appearance. Tall pillars surrounded the battlefield, each decorated with vines and enormous blooming flowers. At the edges of the arena were several viewing platforms where spectators could safely watch the fights.
A faint magical barrier surrounded the entire battlefield, preventing stray attacks from damaging the guild hall. Mochi, Ace, and Amelia jumped onto one side of the arena. King, Max, and Krystal stepped onto the opposite side. The two teams faced each other. Mochi cracked his knuckles. Ace drew both swords. Amelia spread her wings. Across from them, King stretched his arms while Max rolled his shoulders and Krystal calmly adjusted her stance. Benkay stepped between the two teams.
"Alright!" He raised his hand.
"Here's how this will work!" Everyone looked toward him.
"Three versus three match!" He pointed toward the arena's boundaries.
"No time limit." Benkay smiled.
"To defeat an opponent, you simply need to knock them out of the ring." He raised three fingers.
"One side wins once every member of the opposing team has been knocked out!" He stepped backward.
"Simple enough, right?" Mochi grinned.
"Yep!" Benkay raised his hand.
"Now then..." He looked toward both teams.
"GET READY!" Thomas and Tony watched from the sidelines. Thomas crossed his arms.
"Well..." He smiled.
"This will certainly be an interesting matchup." Tony sat beside him.
"What are you thinking?" Thomas looked toward Mochi, Ace, and Amelia.
"I wonder if they'll use Super Voyage Break." Tony tilted his head.
"Do you think they've mastered it?" Thomas shrugged.
"Have they?" Tony grinned.
"Well..." He leaned forward.
"There's only one way to find out." Thomas looked at him. Tony continued.
"If we want to beat RobogeneX, we have no choice but to get stronger." He pointed toward the arena.
"And what's a better way to improve than a sparring match?" Tony smiled confidently.
"It'll help both sides identify each other's weaknesses." Thomas stared at Tony for a moment.
"Oh?" Tony blinked.
"What?" Thomas smirked.
"Since when did you become so smart?" Tony immediately puffed out his chest.
"I've always been smart!" Thomas chuckled.
"Of course you have." Meanwhile, Mochi lowered himself into a fighting stance. His wings spread behind him. He grinned across the arena.
"Alright!" He clenched his fists.
"Let's get this thing on the road!" King smiled.
"Yeah." He spread his wings.
"Sure thing." His expression became serious.
"We aren't holding anything back!"
