Chương 15: Chapter 14: The Rooks Gather at Equilibrium Headquarters

A few days after giving out my task of gathering the rooks, they all came back one by one, and after so many days I managed to gather them all here. Now that they are all here, I decided to check all their progress of strength after not seeing them for so long, as they had all been on their own missions that had high priority, so I haven't seen them until now. I first looked at Sophia, as things have been so hectic lately that I haven't seen her in a while despite her being around a few days ago.

When I looked, I was satisfied as she was now level 750 with her healing magic being level 86. Though she is a support type, she can still level up without killing. This was due to some strange rules in this world with classes. As she has a support class, this had an effect that changed how she leveled to how much support she gave others, whether it be healing or buff magic. In this way, her level tends to rise constantly as she always needs to use it.

I then turned my head next to the second-ranked Maria, which gave me nostalgia as she was the second person to join my hero party back then. She too didn't let me down, as she was level 732 with her specialty being attack magic, which had reached level 77. This was magic so high level that no human could possibly ever reach it without external means.

I had sent Maria all this time to keep an eye on the dragons in this world, as though they are neutral forces, they are the strongest beings in this world excluding gods. They are so high level that from the level of the dragons I saw who aren't even the strongest, the top power among the dragons could possibly even be higher than mine. So, I had to have Maria constantly keep an eye on them so no unexpected situation causes them to come and disrupt the situation.

The next was Claire at third rank, who has in this time reached level 713 with her swordsmanship skill reaching level 71. She was very strong in her swordsmanship, and it has improved a lot since I last saw her. The task I had assigned to her until now was to keep an eye on the elves, as they heavily dislike humans. They don't want to take part in the war; if given a chance, they would immediately come and slaughter the humans. Having Claire keep watch was to prevent this and make them stay in their forest.

After Claire was Suzune Inui at rank four. In her time spying on humans, she has gotten very strong as she has reached level 584 with her magic being level 62 and swordsmanship reaching level 65. She had talent for the two as she was a former hero. She has done a good job since I assigned her to watch over the humans to make sure they don't do anything unexpected. Unfortunately, the humans have done unexpected things which brought us to the situation now.

Following Suzune was Akane Mio at fifth rank, who is a half dwarf with brown hair, and shorter than the other girls, but she is amazing at making weapons as all of our weapons are made by her. As weapons are her strong suit, she is very strong at using them, so even in combat despite being a blacksmith she can hold her own. This is why she has reached level 572 with her blacksmith skill at level 63. As she was half dwarf, I had her go to the land of the dwarves to collect information.

This was because dwarves are split between hating and being perfectly fine with humans, making them remain neutral. This is because dwarves are good at being blacksmiths, causing some humans to kidnap them to force them to make weapons while some are their patrons. As I'm not sure of the stance on dwarves, I sent Akane to them just to be sure they don't suddenly decide to join the war.

Akane joined my organization hundreds of years ago due to being a half-breed, which caused her to be scorned by dwarves and humans alike despite her passion for blacksmithing. As she could never find a place to show and improve her skills, she started to dislike both races and wanted somewhere she can practice blacksmithing properly. I then ran into her by chance, and I grew to like her personality and invited her to join, promising a good place to be a blacksmith, and she agreed.

Close behind Akane was Shiro Yuki, a girl with silver hair and an otherworld beauty at rank six. She is also not from this world, though she also isn't from Earth but rather a technologically advanced world. She joined us as I am also not from this world while also being a very powerful person. Seeing how strong I was, she thought if she followed me, she might be able to go back to her world someday.

Though I'm not sure if it was feasible, as the way she came to this world was strange since she wasn't hero summoned. Instead, she came out of nowhere to this world one day and landed in the woods, where I saved her from monsters. Though having her join was one of my best decisions, as her machinery skills exceed the devices in my world on Earth, and she has basically been involved in every way in rebuilding headquarters to be more technologically advanced.

Though because it's so advanced, nobody knows how to use them including me, so unless she is around, we don't usually use anything she built. On the bright side though, headquarters due to this high-level technology has very strong automated defense systems, so I don't have to worry about headquarters whenever I leave to do something. In this way, using technological weapons, she has killed many monsters and leveled up a lot. She has now even reached level 563 with her machinery skill being level 64.

Her mission was just to wander around the continent to find materials to improve her machinery. As when she got strong enough, I no longer worried she might die outside. I have her improve her machinery as some of the weapons she knows are so strong that even level 2000s can die if they aren't careful, but currently, she lacks the materials as this world's materials are somewhat different. This makes it so Shiro has to go out and find replacements.

Right now, due to a lack of resources, she has decided to make a pseudo-nuclear bomb which can even kill level 300s if caught off guard. This would be a good trump card if things go bad and we don't have time to kill many monsters or other races while fighting against strong beings. So, her task has been very important. Onto the next one was Nao Emi with short dark blonde hair and a thin muscular frame, who is ranked seventh.

She is a ranger and a former mercenary, leading her to be at level 554 with archery at level 61. She joined after I saved her from her mercenary group after she got something valuable on one of their jobs, which caused the group to plot against her, leading me to save her. She then wanted to repay me, which I refused, but then she followed me around trying to help. In the end, seeing her loyalty and determination, I invited her to join, in which she agreed.

Nao loves adventuring and finding new experiences, so the mission I gave her matched it. I sent her to the border to explore, as there are apparently other continents outside the human and demonic continents. A few hundred years ago, a group of foreigners came and immediately caused trouble, taking over a small village and slowly expanding. We dealt with them but found that there are other continents outside the Human Continent.

For this reason, I sent Nao to prevent invaders and to slowly explore outside the Human Continent. So far, she hasn't been to other continents yet as we had found out that this world is huge. This fantasy world is actually several times the size of Earth, as the distance the foreigner told me from the Human Continent to their continent took almost a decade by boat.

Not to mention, I always assumed before hearing about other continents that the Human Continent took a large majority of this world, as it was the size of both Americas, Asia, and Europe combined. Not to mention the Demonic continent was the size of Australia. Now that there were other continents besides this large landmass means that the world was enormous, so we simply didn't have time to go out of the Human Continent yet to explore, and I didn't want Nao going too far away for long periods.

Behind Nao was the newly joined Thea, now at rank eight. With my constant training, she has reached level 330 with her highest skill of casting reaching level 52. Since she first became a rook, she has progressed very well and can soon be allowed to go on missions. Finally, Himari, who joined the latest, was now the ninth-ranked rook. In these few days she has made some progress, as she has reached level 255 with her highest skill, magic, reaching level 46.

I was very satisfied with her level as she was still so new. With this, the rooks have all gathered and it was time to discuss the next course of action for all of them.
