As I continued my explanation, the two looked at me like I was mentally insane. My sister asked, "What happened to you since you were gone? Have you gone insane after disappearing for so long?" My dad said, "We should take you to a hospital to check if you are doing alright. I think you might have some mental problems now." I then pointed towards my mom and said, "Look, I turned mom young again. There are no lies in what I said." The two then looked at mom and were surprised by her youthful appearance.
My dad then asked mom, "Did you dye your hair and put on makeup? Why are you playing along with our son's delusions?" My mom replied, "It's real. If you don't believe me, then just experience it yourself." Mom then looked at me, gesturing to do the same to dad. I then attempted to do the same thing in front of all of them. A moment later, my dad started to turn young again. His appearance became that of a handsome young man with short black hair.
My sister, who was watching from the side, replied in shock, "What did you just do? Is magic real, just like you said?" My dad looked in the mirror and was equally surprised. As I explained what I could, they finally started to believe me. We then sat down and started exchanging information about the past few years. I had finally come back and could talk with them again. This made me feel a certain type of joy. As we continued talking, I heard a knock on the door and wondered who it was.
My mom then went to answer the door. When the door opened, I was surprised by who I saw. It was my childhood friend, Shizuka Shiroyuki. We were neighbors and knew each other our entire lives before being transported to another world. Seeing that I was in the house, she quickly rushed in to hug me. She looked older than I remember, but her long black hair was still the same, though she looked tired. My mom explained, "I called her over as she worried about you for a long time when you disappeared.
I wanted to at least let her know that you had come back." Shizuka then looked at me, demanding an explanation of what happened. Tired from explaining, I had no choice but to explain everything once again. She then looked at my mom and dad in disbelief that magic was real, but as so many people confirmed it, she couldn't find a way to prove that it wasn't true from the current evidence. All of us then continued talking, asking what we were curious about and catching up on current affairs.
I learned many things that had happened in the world since I was gone and about the new digital age in the world. Though I didn't have time to experience it now, I wanted to try the new technology they were talking about once I had time. I then told the group about what I had to do next, saying, "I can't stay for long this time. I still have things I need to do in the other world and can only stay here for two days at most. I have already spent a lot of time here and still have another task to take care of.
So, let's talk about other things once I come back." You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story. My mom then asked, "Do you really have to go back? Can't you just stay here and come back to normal life?" I shook my head, as I had important things to do with lives on the line. My sister then asked, "How long will it take?" I answered that I didn't know how long it would take. It might take a long or a short time. Shizuka then said, "You have to come back earlier this time.
We are all waiting for you." I nodded and continued to say a few more things with them before night completely fell and Shizuka went home, as she was now a working adult. I decided to stay the night and finish the leftover business I had here before going back. My family then went to bed, as they intended to continue things tomorrow. Himari then went with my sister to sleep in her room, as my sister brought it up, wanting to have some girl talk. I then slept a peaceful night in my room, as I was finally home.
The next morning, my family and Shizuka gathered in front of the house to see me off. I gave my goodbyes for the time being and set off with Himari. Now that technology is so advanced, my sister taught me how to use the new version of a smartphone, and I easily found Suzune's address that she gave me. What I saw was a fairly old house that seemed quite worn down. As I knocked on the door, the person who appeared was a tired adult woman with short black hair. I asked the woman, "Are you Suzune Inui's mother?"
The woman replied, "Yes, I am. And who might you two be?" I answered, "I am an acquaintance of your daughter, and she asked me to pass along a letter to you, as she is unable to come herself right now." The woman then asked, "Where is she now? I'm worried about her, as she has been missing for years." I said, "It's inconvenient to say where she is. Just know that she is safe right now." I then handed the letter to her, which I hadn't read myself so as to keep the privacy of the letter.
As Suzune's mother read the letter, she started to have tears in her eyes. She then asked, "Can you pass on a message to my daughter when you see her? Please tell her that I have divorced her father and he is gone now. She no longer needs to worry about an alcoholic father beating her anymore. He has gone back to the United States and won't bother us anymore." I agreed to her request and left with Himari.
I then used some of the money my mom had given me and bought a few things that looked interesting to bring back, such as food and souvenirs. I stored them in a safe place to protect them from transferring worlds. As we prepared to head back, I took Himari to one last place before going back. We soon arrived on a very familiar street. This was where it all began, as this was where I was transported to another world. Now that I saw it again, it looked exactly the same and quite ordinary.
I kept looking at the exact spot where it all happened, with mixed feelings coming from inside me. As I continued to look, Himari kept silent from the side before asking, "Where is this?" I replied, "This was where I was transported to another world. The place where it all began." Himari replied with a simple, "I see." As I finished my thoughts, I asked, "Himari, is there anywhere you would like to go before heading back?" Himari looked at the things she had already bought and shook her head.
She replied, "I have already gotten everything that interests me, so I am ready to go back now." I then said, "Then let's go back now. Time passes far too fast in the other world, and quite some time has already passed. We have only been gone for about a little over a day, so things should still be fine on the other side." Himari then agreed, and we set off to a secluded private place to cast world transfer magic. We then found a quiet spot and started the process.
Soon, we started to disappear from Earth and were heading back to the other world. I then felt that dark tunnel again that occurred when traveling between worlds. Soon, the bright light occurred, and we exited the tunnel. In front of me was the very familiar sight of headquarters. I then looked around to see if there was anyone nearby. As I was looking, I saw Lucy rushing towards me from the side. Lucy quickly reported, "The humans and demons started fighting unexpectedly over a month ago.
We don't know if we should intervene, as the forces of each side are simply too powerful for us to do anything about. The war is about to reach its climax, as both forces have now sent their full force for the final battle." I quickly asked, "Is everyone still here at headquarters?" Lucy replied, "They are all here, waiting for your return to receive your orders." I then gave Lucy a task: "Gather everyone who is Bishop and Knight rank or above. We will be having a decisive battle to finally end this war.
Keep the pawns to watch over headquarters in case something happens." Hearing my words, Lucy was surprised, as I had never done something so decisive, but quickly set off to spread the news. I then set off to the meeting area where I waited for everyone to gather.
