Chương 32: Chapter 31: Attack from Apostles of God

In the coming days I, along with Shiro and Sophia, quickly made preparations to fight. With the death of two apostles of god the other apostles should now realize we are a threat. Since this was the case the next wave of attack wasn't going to be as simple as sending one apostle at a time. The next wave of attack could be multiple apostles of god and it would be very difficult to deal with such a powerful group of people.

Shiro was now rushing to build nuclear weapons as this will be the biggest helper in case such a situation happens. I may be strong but not strong enough to fight off so many apostles of god. As time was short and we were rushed, after another week Shiro managed to barely put together the two nuclear bombs and they were now ready to be used. Now that they were ready, I was much more relaxed as with three entire nuclear bombs. It should now be more than enough to deal with what was to come.

I then also took the opportunity to boost my own exp gain to 4x the amount due to having enough points. All that was left was to make as many other preparations as we could just in case of some unforeseen circumstance that made my preparations fail. Unfortunately, we weren't given that much time. In just two days after we finished making the nuclear bombs a strange group of people wearing robes appeared in Shiro's surveillance.

These people came here quietly and would have been missed if Shiro hadn't set so much technology all around the kingdom to spy on invaders. The group consisted of ten people of varying sizes and builds. I couldn't tell what they looked like considering the heavy robes, but the robes looked exactly like the previous apostle of god so I could guess who they were.

Since I knew their identities and there were so many of them, I defaulted to using nuclear weapons as I definitely wouldn't be able to deal with so many of them. I then prompted Shiro to prepare to fire the bombs towards the apostles of god. As Shiro prepared I decided to get closer and moved to a good vantage point to look at this group. When I got a good view of these people in person, I could finally see the strength of the apostle of god who looked like the leader of the group.

As I looked at the leader I was shocked by the sheer power of the apostle. The leader of the group was at level 4999 which is comparable to a suppressed or fallen god. Such power was only second to a true god. The skill level was just as high as the leader had [EX] Magic (Lv. 20). If I faced this person alone the only result would be death. I could only hope that our nuclear bombs are enough to deal with this person.

Behind the leader of the apostles of god were other high-level apostles that ranged from level 4000 to level 4800. All of them had high level skills at [EX] rank. Such a force could easily wipe out a continent. This made me wonder what the goddess Trisha was doing before when guiding the humans. If she had used this force the war between humans and demons would have ended long ago so why wait until now to use her apostles.

While I was observing them from a distance something then appeared in the sky coming down quickly. It was the nuclear bomb that Shiro had fired off. I then hoped for the best result that could happen. The nuclear bomb then made contact exploding on all the apostles of god. The explosion was just as bright and loud as it was last time. The power that this weapon was showing off was terrifying as I got chills just looking at it.

With such power I even felt that it would be strange if the apostles of god weren't dead or at least heavily injured. After a period of waiting for the smoke to clear up I looked again to see what the situation was. I saw all the apostles of god were still alive. These beings are far too sturdy making me wonder what would happen if we didn't have nuclear bombs prepared. Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.

As I took a closer look most of the apostles were heavily injured with the weaker half being on the brink of death. As for the stronger half they were just injured and still able to move. The most surprising one was the leader of the apostles who barely had an injury as the bleeding was shallow. This leader is so strong to tank an entire nuclear bomb to the face and still be fine. If I were to fight this apostle, I truly would be dead with no room to fight back.

Experiencing such devastation the half of the apostles that were still able to move quickly tried to move towards the kingdom of Equality seemingly trying to stop us from doing the same attack again. This group quickly split up to go in their own direction as to not make the same mistake of being attacked all at once. I then quickly ran back to the weapon room to order Shiro to fire a second nuclear bomb. As I arrived, I saw Shiro had already prepared to launch the second one.

By the time I started to ask the question she had already launched the nuclear bomb somewhere. I then asked, "Where did you shoot that off to?" Shiro replied, "I shot it towards the strongest member of the group the one without much injury. If that leader takes this bomb again without the help of his companions, I refuse to believe he can handle it a second time." As the bomb dropped again, I heard another loud explosion.

The bomb had made another commotion that I hoped would solve the problem with the apostles of god. I then quickly rushed to the site to see the result. By the time I arrived, I saw that the group had already covered a significant distance. They had moved much closer to us before the bomb landed on them, which separated them from the weaker apostles of God. Due to this the bomb didn't land on the weaker apostles of god leaving them alive. This was a great opportunity to farm them to level up.

After debating the pros and cons I decided to rush to kill the weaker apostles of god to gain some experience first. I then arrived where the weaker apostles of god were just as the explosion from the nuclear bomb was starting to clear. These apostles were now on the brink of death and were ready for me to kill. I quickly slashed my sword as I didn't have much time in case the apostles of god had survived the blast again.

My attack then killed all five dying apostles of god which gained me massive amounts of experience points. My system window then gave me a notification: Level Up: 4244 The level up was decent but lower than I would have liked. It did make sense though as even though these apostles were very strong the overall level of these apostles was still lower than mine. I then hoped my level would increase more if I were to kill the last five apostles that were hit by the nuclear bomb again.

As I finished enjoying my level up, the nuclear bomb explosion had cleared up. I then looked closely to assess if once again the apostles of god had survived. The aftermath of the explosion left three of them on the brink of death, one of them barely crawling away, and the leader of the group finally suffered some heavy injuries. The injuries of the strongest of the apostles were by no means lethal but the damage was finally enough that I could probably kill the apostle myself now that he was so badly injured.

I wanted to rush in again to kill the apostles of god that were dying to quickly level up before my confrontation with the strong apostle, but I decided to wait. I had been able to enter these nuclear blast zones despite the radiation now due to the countermeasures with magic I prepared. So, what worried me wasn't the radiation but instead the strong apostle that was still alive. I wanted the apostle to be a little further away as I was still wary of how much power the apostle had left.

As I waited, the leader of the apostles started moving again seemingly trying to reach the kingdom even more hurriedly than before as he didn't want to taste another nuclear bomb. At this point though we only had one nuclear bomb left so we needed to use it sparingly. Not to mention the leader of the apostles has now been heavily weakened and there was now no need to fire off another one. The instant I saw my chance as the leader of the apostles had gone far enough, I made my move.

I quickly closed the distance and arrived where he left his companions behind. I then slashed down on the three who were on the brink of death and got another system notification: Level Up: 4391 I was very satisfied as these apostles now were above my level and gave me sufficient experience points. I then moved to the apostle who was trying to crawl away. As I approached the apostle was choking to get words out: "Wait don't kill me. I am a dignified apostle of the goddess Trisha. You are committing blasphemy."

I didn't care and ignored the apostle's words and slashed down again. I got another system notification: Level Up: 4447 This apostle was very high level and gave me so much experience and it made me very happy. I then turned to look at the remaining apostle who still had enough energy left to be running towards the kingdom. I then gave chase as I was now confident enough to face the leader of the apostles myself.
