Once I regrouped with Sophia, Maria, Claire, and Shiro, I told them everything that I had just learned from my two captives. The group of women, after listening, dispersed to go make preparations since an invasion was eminent. This was an entire empire invading, and the numbers wouldn't be small. This meant the invaders could come from any direction or possibly everywhere at once. I then also sent a warning to Lucy, who was on the Demonic Continent, to be careful as she was still busy managing the demons.
She had help, though, as Suzune, Thea, and Himari had followed along to support her. I sent out one final message to the Dwarven King so that Akane could prepare, too. She was now the ruler of a kingdom and needed to protect herself against future threats. With everyone having been warned, I could only wait to see what may come. I couldn't defend the entire Human Continent and Demon Continent, so I could only hope for a favorable result.
During the next couple of months, everyone was productive as they continued with their preparations. Shiro had developed a new weapon from her own technologically advanced world despite the limited resources. Though not even remotely as powerful as a nuclear bomb, it still had strong damage as it could fire lasers with precise autonomous aim. Claire had been learning swordsmanship from Selen as she felt that she was too weak.
She managed to gain Selen's approval to an extent, even though she wasn't a formal disciple. Due to this, she managed to level up her skill to the divine level. I had been teaching Sophia and Maria about magic, as my skills just wouldn't budge any further once I reached [EX] Magic (Lv. 1) and [EX] Swordsmanship (Lv. 11). Since I couldn't progress, I taught others instead to quickly improve our fighting power. As these two were more specialized in magic than me, they grew quickly. Maria reached Magic (Lv. 86) and Sophia reached Magic (Lv. 95). Now, despite their lower levels, their skills could make up for their level gap. In the future, they wouldn't be so helpless anymore. Word had been sent back from Lucy and Akane that preparations were going smoothly and there was no need to worry. Since everyone was doing fine, I decided to continue with what I was doing without worrying about it too much. Nao was still at the border to watch for invaders, as there was the occasional foreigner that tried to sneak in.
She had been doing a good job, so we could be prepared for any surprise invasions that we didn't expect to happen. Time passed, and soon the year had almost completely passed by. We made as many preparations as we could, and there wasn't much left that could be improved upon. We were now ready for what may come. We waited for any signs of the invaders coming, as they could come any day now.
With a year of preparations, we had every corner of the continent full of surveillance, as well as the Demonic Continent fully prepared. No matter where these invaders attacked, I would know how to be there to intercept where I was needed. As the days passed without hearing any news, I wondered if they were truly coming, as it had been so long since I'd run into trouble with invaders. As I was thinking about this, I received a report that said the invaders were attacking in multiple directions.
If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it. Since I couldn't be everywhere at once, I sent Claire, Maria, and Shiro to all the other directions I couldn't be at, while I also chose a direction for myself. The directions I assigned were ordered from weakest to strongest based on the size of the enemy fleet in the report. With all the information we needed received, we all set off to defeat the enemy continent that wanted to invade and conquer this land.
A day later, I arrived on the battlefield, where the fight had already begun, with the Equilibrium Knights and Bishops defending the battle line as the war had just started. I then joined in the fight, as it was currently in a stalemate, and I became the deciding factor. I sank several ships, as no particularly strong people were on any of them. I wondered what was going on, as I had seen strong people through the scouts, so how could the enemy send such weak soldiers?
As a few days went by and I destroyed several more waves of invaders, I finally got my answer. The wave that came this time included many strong people, all around level 2000. They could be said to be a very strong force that wouldn't normally be seen in the Human Continent. Still, I wasn't worried, as they were still far below my level. Despite my confidence, the enemy thought the same as me, as they assumed I would be the one losing now that they were here.
The strongest one among them yelled, "Hurry up and surrender now that we are here! We can easily crush all of you present, so giving up early is the correct decision." I replied, "Of course we won't give up just for a bunch of weaklings like you." The leader of the group was furious as I acted like I was above him. The man then jumped off of the boat and directly in front of me, trying to establish dominance. This man was the strongest, as he was far above the rest at level 3261.
There were quite a few notable features about this person, as his face was full of scars, as well as his arms. This man had experienced many battles and survived, which made his confidence have some backing to it. The strong man yelled despite being right in front of me, "I am Louis, and I am the leader of this expedition! I can tell you are the leader of this group who is attacking us. I will give you one more chance to give in or die!" Still unconvinced, I replied, "Not going to happen.
We will defend this land from invaders like you." Louis, hearing my reply, showed a grin, as he got to show off now that I had disagreed. No longer holding back, Louis threw a heavy punch straight at me, intending to use me as an example. Not to be outdone, I too threw a punch directly into Louis's fist to show him that I was far above him. Once the two punches collided, Louis's arm was bent out of shape and was bleeding heavily. With his arm completely broken, Louis tried to hold in his scream of pain.
Not having done enough, I punched Louis even harder this time, with the intent to kill. Just like I expected, Louis had a hole punched straight through his body and died just so simply. I then leveled up again, as my system said: Level up: 4920 Now, with their leader dead after such a brief encounter, the rest of the group felt that something was off.
Their thinking was that I used some kind of trick and shouldn't be able to do it again, so the group discussed with each other and decided to gang up on me all at once. In the next moment, everyone who was on the boat with Louis also jumped in front of me and prepared to face off, with all their numbers against just me. They then started to use whatever attacks they had to quickly finish this battle and continue to invade the Human Continent.
Of course, I didn't allow them to do so, as whenever someone launched an attack, I easily deflected it and punched the nearest person to death. I then repeated this process, as there were quite a few of these guys. The more I killed, the harder these people tried, as they could be next. No matter what they did, I was unharmed and killed someone else in the process. By the time most of them had died, the rest finally felt fear after all that had happened and tried to run away to get more reinforcements.
As I wanted to end it as quickly as possible, I chased after them and killed them all quickly, as they simply weren't fast enough to run away from me. Now, with the top group of the invaders dead, the rest of the invaders were easy prey, as they didn't take much effort for me to kill. By the end of the battle, I had killed most of the invading enemy's army, and the battlefield was littered with them.
I did gain something from this fight, as I had leveled up more, as my system said: Level up: 4930 Since no more invaders seemed to be coming after a day of waiting, I decided to head to the other battlefields to help the others who were still fighting. I quickly looked at who was the closest to me currently and decided on a direction to go for my next battlefield. Without waiting any longer after finding out, I rushed to my desired destination, ready to fight a battle again.
