Chương 26: Chapter 25: Joining the War to Eliminate High Level Humans

Soon, everyone at headquarters gathered. The group wasn't particularly big, as it was only a few hundred people. I then gave out tasks: "Once the war is about to finish and a winner is about to be decided, we will then intervene. Your task is to eliminate the remaining top-level forces on the losing side. I will personally deal with the winning side." This sent out a wave of discontent, as I was giving them a task that was so much easier than what I was doing. I then said, "This order is final.

You aren't strong enough to split forces and help me. Don't worry, as I am strong enough to deal with the situation." Unable to refute my orders, the crowd quieted down.

"Now that you have received my orders, go and prepare, and soon we will set off to finally settle the goal of our organization, which is to stop the humans and demons." The crowd then dispersed to bring themselves to their peak power before the coming final battle. Before everyone dispersed, I gave Lucy an order to keep watch over the situation of the war and switch out with the other rooks in turn if needed until the final conflict happened. Lucy obeyed and set off.

The rest of the crowd completely left the meeting location. I then prepared myself as I waited for the final battle that will settle everything. After another week of waiting, everyone was prepared to depart and were only waiting for the report back that it was time to move. I was not disappointed, as Lucy came back to report after just a week: "The humans and demons have now come out in full force. I have seen several of them above level 2000.

The army on each side is also quite large, so it is now the perfect time for us to go and watch over the situation." I then gave my order to now move out and go to the battlefield. As we arrived at the battlefield after a day of traveling, the whole situation had changed. What I saw in front of me were the demons having suffered a crushing defeat. The only demons left were a few demons above level 2000 that were alive, but they were on the brink of death considering their injuries.

As for the rest of the demon forces, they were now trying to retreat while being killed en masse by the human forces. I wondered just what had happened while we were traveling here. As I was trying to understand what had happened, I turned my attention to the main forces of the humans. They were all gathered on top of a cliff, one of them holding the staff I had seen before. The man holding it was a level 2834, while behind him were several other humans with slightly lower levels.

Unlike the demons though, these humans seemed to be uninjured and were preparing for the final blow to the high-level demons. As the situation had changed so much, I knew we had to act quickly or the entire forces on the demon side would be killed. I only intended for the powerful demons to die so that we can take over the demons and bring an era of peace.

If all the demons died, then in the future the demonic continent will have no force to protect itself, and I would need to watch over the remaining demons on the Demonic Continent as they would be vulnerable. I then gave the order to go help the demons escape from the humans. As I gave out the orders, something happened on the battlefield. The group of humans fired a beam of light using the staff, working together to share the burden.

In the next moment, all the high-level demons that were on the brink of death were now turned into nothing. The only ones remaining were demons who were just level 200 or below. I then told the members of Equilibrium to quickly move out. I then quickly headed towards the group of humans who had fired the staff myself.

As I moved as fast as I could, the group of humans seemed to be preparing another attack aimed at the rest of the demons. I then moved at my fastest speed to try and stop them. I then quickly arrived in front of them just in time, as they had not yet fired off the attack from the staff. I then quickly slashed with my sword with my new skill, Unseen Partition, to quickly stop them. As my sword was about to slash them in half, they finished charging their attack and aimed it at me as they noticed I was here.

I then was in the direct line of fire of the beam of light. The beam of light and my skill then clashed which caused my attack to strain. The attack power coming from the beam of light was insane, as I could barely push it back. I then used all my means as I coated my sword with magic on top of it to try to add more power. After much struggle, I slashed the beam of light in half and felt somewhat exhausted.

I then rushed towards the strong group of humans, intending to attack first before they fired off another attack. As I was closing in, a few of the high-level humans appeared in front wielding swords. As my sword clashed with theirs, I started to overpower them. As my sword drew closer, I noticed something. These humans showed no signs of fear as my sword closed in and was about to cut them. It was not simple courage but instead something else entirely.

As my slash cut through the swords they wielded and cut the human swordsmen in half, they then fell to the ground without letting out any sound and died. In the next moment, these humans turned into scattered particles of light and disappeared. I was now even more confused about what was going on. Were these people not human? As I was thinking about this, a notification popped up on my window: Level Up: 3882 I was surprised by how many times I leveled up.

It did make sense though, as I just killed several people above level 2000. As I was distracted by my thoughts, the other humans quickly came forward fearlessly to attack me. They all had emotionless faces and feared nothing. As I dodged their attacks and counterattacked with my own, I slowly managed to kill one at a time. By the time I finished killing off all but one of them, I had gained significant EXP.

My system gave a new notification: Level Up: 3900 I have never gained such a large amount of experience points before. I had forgotten what it feels like to make this much progress. As I was preparing to finish off the last one, another beam of light suddenly shot out from the staff the man had. This time it was far stronger than the last one, and I had to put a lot of energy into it.

The beam was so much bigger and was so sudden that I barely managed to activate my skill before the beam of light collided with my sword. I then initially struggled, trying to balance out the power of the beam of light and my attack. As time passed, I managed to reach a certain balance and was actively repelling it from injuring me. At this point though I had leveled up several times and was far stronger than before. I soon managed to start pushing forward from my increased strength.

After some effort, I managed to cut the beam of light again and escape from the dire situation. I then looked in the direction of the man who shot the attack. He was now kneeling on the ground, drained of energy, looking as if he was about to die. Deciding to put an end to this last person from the group of humans, I closed the distance to deal the finishing blow. As I was getting closer, a different situation happened right in front of me.

Assuming it was the man's final move, I tried to stop him before he succeeded. I then used my strongest slash to try and end this unknown situation as soon as possible. As my sword got close, it hit the beam of light that was being emitted by the man. My sword instantly was stopped, and I couldn't cut through. I then tried harder, as I didn't know what might happen next if I didn't stop the man now.

In the end though, I was unable to deal the finishing blow, and the man's power seemed to be increasing as some pressure could be felt being released by him. Not wanting to be too close to see what happened next, I quickly backed away from the man, as I was now unable to injure him and he was even getting stronger. In the next moment, the man's appearance changed, turning feminine. Soon, he completely transformed into a woman. This woman looked very familiar, which I traced back to when I first came to this world.

The woman looked exactly like the statue in the Trist kingdom castle. As the newly transformed woman opened her eyes, the sheer power she was emitting was terrifying. If it weren't for that, seeing the statue as flesh made me realize just how beautiful the statue looked as flesh, with her golden, curly, long hair flowing in the wind. As I was distracted in my thoughts, captivated by the beauty of the woman, she fully became conscious. The woman then spoke: "I am the goddess of justice Trisha.

Why are you killing my followers? Are you ready to accept justice?"
