Nezu named the document three times before anyone allowed the title to survive. The first version was called Accelerated Conditional Hero Course Transfer and Provisional License Readiness Framework. "Acceptable" Aizawa said "Barely" Recovery Girl said "Suspiciously short" Nezu smiled.

"Then it has achieved balance" The meeting took place in a secure conference room that had once been used for budgeting and now looked like the sort of room where educational policy came to confess. The blinds were closed. The table held no student files on display. Nezu had insisted on that after Kurose told him she would leave if Ren and Shinso's names were spread across the table like evidence.

Aizawa sat on one side with a blank notebook and an expression that suggested the notebook had already disappointed him. Kurose sat beside him with two pens, one tablet, and the posture of someone prepared to fight language until it surrendered. "Continue" Aizawa leaned back.

"The exam timeline is tight" Recovery Girl's eyes narrowed.

"Do not start with the exam. That makes the whole thing smell like convenience" Aizawa accepted that without argument. That concerned everyone more than argument would have.

"You are right" Recovery Girl stared.

"Good reason" Shinso's ears turned faintly red.

"Do not praise too long""Noted" Shinso put the pen down. Then leaned back.

"I want the track" No one smiled. No one sighed in relief. No one performed joy. Good. He watched them not do it. Kurose said "You can still say no later""I know" Aizawa said "You can withdraw""I know" Nezu said "You can revise conditions""I know" Shinso looked at the document again.

"You are being offered conditional placement into a Provisional Track. If you accept, you will begin integrated Hero Course training under restrictions. The goal is to prepare you for possible Provisional License Exam participation. Possible. Not guaranteed" Ren said "Possible but not guaranteed" Shinso said "We read""Now you hear it" They both shut up. Aizawa pointed at the board.

"Stop. If either of you says stop, staff stop the activity. If staff says stop, you stop. Stop is not failure" He wrote under STOP. Not failure.

"Return. Every exercise has a route back. Physical. emotional. medical. tactical. If you cannot identify the route back, you do not begin" He wrote under RETURN. Route back first.

"Consent. Brainwashing use, Graft Lattice stress testing, fragment discussion, body map checks beyond standard medical, and any cross-student intervention require prior consent unless immediate life safety overrides it. If life safety overrides it, it is reviewed afterward" He wrote under CONSENT. Review afterward.

"Role. You are not entering as replacements for anyone. You are not extra weapons. You are not inspirational cases. You are students with specific roles to train. Shinso, control and response. Akiyama, rescue endurance and tactical stabilization. Both of you, communication under pressure" He wrote under ROLE. Student first. Ren stared at the board. Shinso stared too. "The License Exam, if you reach it, will not change these principles. Passing is not worth violating the track. Failing is not grounds for removal from student status. Withdrawal for safety is recorded as safety compliance" Shinso said "What if the examiners disagree?" Aizawa said "They can score what they score. U. A. scores what we train" Ren said "What if passing requires violating the track?" Aizawa answered immediately.

"Then you do not pass that way" Silence. Hard answer. Good answer. Shinso looked toward Ren's screen. Ren looked back. Ren said "Healthy rivalry?" Shinso grimaced.

"Still disgusting" Aizawa looked between them.

"Rivalry condition. You may compete. You may not use medical or consent boundary violations as competitive currency" Kurose added "You may not call each other coward for stopping" Recovery Girl said "You may call each other idiots within reason" Aizawa looked at the speaker. Recovery Girl said "They will anyway" Shinso nodded.

"She understands teenagers" Ren muttered "Unfortunately" Kurose looked at both of them.

"Do you accept the track today, with the right to revise conditions?" Ren's heart rate rose. The monitor in R-2 noticed. Recovery Girl's audio sharpened.

"Map" Ren closed his eyes.

"R-2. screen. Hana. Daichi. Recovery Girl audio. Kurose. Aizawa. Shinso. Nezu. board. left wrist. shoulder. ribs. scared. wanting""Pain absence?"

"No""Gate?"

"Quiet""Proceed" Ren opened his eyes. Shinso was watching him through the screen. Not relieved. Not urging. Just there. Shinso said "I accept" No one smiled too brightly. No one exhaled like the world had become easier. Kurose wrote down accepted. Then everyone looked at Ren. No relief performance. No pressure. No disappointment if no. He could still say no. "Then training begins tomorrow with paperwork and absolutely no heroics" Shinso said "Paperwork is villain behavior" Ren said "Agreed" Nezu looked pleased.

"Excellent. You already share values" Aizawa said "Do not encourage them" Kurose capped her pen.

"Provisional Track begins tomorrow" The words were simple. Too simple for what they held. Ren and Shinso had not entered the Hero Course as apology. Not as proof. Not as compensation. Not as warning. Not as prize. Not as weapons. Students first. On probation. With conditions. With doors inspected before opening. It was not clean. It was not safe.

It was not free of Garaki's shadow, All For One's theft, Kamino's crater, All Might's empty place, or the world's hunger for children to become answers before adults finished asking better questions. But it was theirs enough to begin. The next morning, Class 1-A would be told. The next week, maybe, training would begin in mixed modules. The license exam waited ahead like a field full of unknown scoring, public pressure, and rescue scenarios that would not care how carefully the document had been written.

But for now, the board held four words. Stop. Return. Consent. Role. Ren looked at them until his eyes grew heavy. On the other side of the screen, Shinso did the same.
